Chapter 8: Escort & her crush

First quarter examinations has come. I can totally smell it. Ngarag na ngarag itong mga kaklase kong hindi nag-aaral pero pumapasa pa rin!

Right now, we're taking the last exam, which is Calculus. Kakaiba mag-exam dito sa class namin, hindi kagaya ng ibang class na sobrang tahimik, samin medyo maingay pa rin, pero nandyan pa rin yung teacher. We were two seats apart from each other, two seats kasi 12 lang naman kami plus nag-uusap pa rin sila.

"Uy oh, nangangamote na si Miko" pang-asar ni Ian.

"Lul, baka ikaw" nagtawanan sila.

"Ano ka? Number 9 na ako sa problem solving oh. Matatapos na ako Ms. Arñeza" sabay ngiti ni Ian.

I just rolled my eyes, siya na talaga matalino! Nag-aral naman ako pero nahihirapan pa rin ako.

"Showoff" Ruby commented.

Everyone just laughed in unison.

An hour has passed and no one was finished with the test yet, not even Ian who was working with number 10 an hour ago.

"Huhu, gutom na ako" iyak ni Miko.

"Wait lang mga pre, di ko talaga makuha yung number 10 e. Kukuha sana ako ng foods e" Ian answered.

"Bakit ganun? Ang hirap!" Jet sighed.

Yachi laughed, "Grabe pinagpapawisan ako"

Ms. Arñeza was laughing at us. Kahit naman maingay kami habang nagt-test, so long as no one's mentioning answers or talking about how to answer it, it was fine with her. She warned us that we only have 10 minutes left.

"This.is.impossible" Gaby commented.

"Miss! May mali po sa given!" Taas kamay na reklamo ni Miko.

"Yung given yung sinisi?" Steph laughed.

"Uy Basty? Pati ba ikaw?" Migs asked Basty.

"I got the answer... I think?" Basty answered.

"Miss oh! Di sure si Basty sa sagot niya! May mali po talaga sa given" pagrereklamo ni Miko.

"Basty let me check your paper" Ms. Arñeza suggested.

Basty gave his paper, and Ms. Arñeza checked it. She suddenly smiled, "As expected from Sebastian, he got the answer in number 10. Good job, iho."

"WHAAAAAT" Miko screamed.

"5 minutes left" Ms. Arñeza added.

"Lugi Basty! Bonus na sana e!" Pagrereklamo ni Ian.

"Shet pls, wag muna kayong maingay" Jet complained.

I was focusing on my paper, ignoring their complaints. 5 points yung number 10. Sayang naman yun.

"BOOM! YES! Ha! Kala mo Basty a" Ian stood up and hurriedly gave his paper to our teacher. Ms. Arñeza nodded in approval. Ian cheered for himself and everyone just laughed at him.

I tried to answer calmly. I got an answer but I hope it's correct.

We all surrendered and submitted our papers. Concurrently, the bell rang. It was finally the mark of the end of the First quarter examinations!

"YES! ANG SAYA SAYA" nagrejoice ang mga boys na pinangunahan ng kambal na si Miko at Migs.

I went to Gaby's seat, she was playing with her hair. Mukhang malalim ang iniisip niya.

"What's wrong?" I asked. Bigla namang dumating si Ruby kasama si Kitty.

"I was thinking about cutting my hair" she said blankly.
