HIS MEMORY LANE-3!!!

First of all wish you a very happy holi everyone!!!
Hope you guys have enjoyed ur day and here is an update from my side as a treat to u all on Holi.

Flashback continuation

Manik's pov

"Miss. Nandini, I hope you won't mind if I ask you to do something", I asked her once as we took a short coffee break from the preparations of the presentation which we had to give after two days in Italy itself.

Sitting on the couch I asked Nandini who handed me my cup of coffee.

"Ofcourse not Sir ", she smiled genuinely.

"You are so predictable Miss. Murthy!", I chuckled.

" Well never mind , actually tonight I am going to a club. There is a small get together organised by some of my professional friends and since you are here so you too can join", I stated looking at her.

Her lips curved into a sudden smile as she chipped,"I would love to come Sir.  It means a lot that you invited me."

I nodded taking sip of coffee and from the pocket of my jeans I took out my Credit card.

"Ohk then,here is my credit card. Please go for shopping", I chipped only you sense her being confused.

"Sir...shopping?", she chipped almost inaudibly.

"Yes shopping! So that you can buy yourself a perfect outfit as you know it is party of high profiled people and I don't want you to look out of place. I mean since you will be coming with me and so many eyeballs will be on us and I am pretty sure you aren't having something which you can wear for such parties", I finished as I put my credit card on the table and resumed enjoying my coffee.

I waited for her to step forward  but it never happened, rather than this,  she walked towards the door, she turned and quipped , "Thank you so much sir, but I don't think I am needed there. I hope you enjoy the party and there is no need to spend your money on my dressing as I will always be what I am a middle class family girl!!! Have a nice party. Will meet you tomorrow".

And she left...like seriously she left...making me feel no less than a loser...a rejected one.

No one ever dared to deny me and this girl just walked away in front of my eyes. I felt irritated.
She is such a stupid girl, people die to be part of such parties and she got the chance to go with me and she denied!!! Brainless girl.

Entering the club, as expected I was met with undivided attention of people around...needless to say specially the girls!!!

Dressed in their shortest dresses possible many to them were shaking their bodies to the beats of the loud music on the dance floor while some who were sitting idle were waiting for someone to approach them.

I smirked as I ignored the sensual looks the girls were giving me and met my professional friends.

We settled for our drinks when Mr. Chris said,"Mr. Manik we are pretty sure that you will definately crack the deal".

I smirked,"That won't be a surprise for me Mr. Chris.

Mr. Chris laughed a bit,"I like your confidence Mr. Manik and definately having such an intelligent PA around cracking the deal is an easier job".

I nodded.

'As if its only her who did everythibg and I was sitting idle' , mind screamed to whom? Noone knows.

"Where is Miss. Murthy? I really wanted to meet her", Mr. Chris said.

"Why only you Mr. Chris? Even me too wanted to meet such a beautiful and pretty lady in personal", Mr. Finn interrupted.
Such aasholes!!!

A sudden rush ran in my spines.

"Well, she was busy with the presentation work so...", I was about to make an excuse but,

"What? This is not done Mr. Manik, you can't let such a pretty and charming lady suffer all night to do some official work!!! Such lady should be worshipped all night, if you know what I mean!", winked  that asshole Finn making me lose my mind.

"Thats correct Mr. Finn", Chris said laughing.

"I think I should leave now. I have to do some important work", I stood up and left the very next second finding it to be the last resort.
