School was finally over. I was walking out of school and heading towards the stairs when I heard my name being called. I looked back to Kid, Liz and Patty standing there. Maka, Black Star, Tsubaki and some white haired boy stood nearby.
"What?" I snapped.
"I wanna fight you." Kid said. He snapped his fingers and Liz and Patty changed into duel pistols. Seems I guessed right.
I scoffed. "Yeah, right, Neat Freak. Why would I want to fight you? I have no reason to hurt you." I said, bordely. I turned back around and started walking towards the stairs.
"If you win, I'll talk to Dad about letting you out of your deal!" Kid called after me. That made me stop and think about it. I smirked and grabbed Luca's hand. He sighed and shook his head, but transformed anyways.
"And what if you win?" I asked, my back still to him.
"You owe me a favor." Kid said and I nodded. I turned around and before I was fully turned, Kid was shooting at me. I quickly jumped and rolled to the left.
"Hey, Kid!" I yelled. I threw Luca up in the air and that dragged Kid's attention with it. When Kid looked up at Luca, I used a quick step to appear behind him and I kicked him in the back, sending him flying into the wall.
When he hit the wall, he coughed up some blood. Liz and Patty changed back and started shaking him and checking to see if he was alright. He was knocked out.
"Is that all?" I asked. Luca changed back into his human form where he landed and walked over to me. Suddenly, something hit me from behind and I arched my back. It felt like something was surging through me.
The blast sent me flying, but not very far and I was able to flip onto my feet before I hit the ground. I spun around to see Black Star holding a ninja blade in one hand and holding out his other hand where I was just standing.
Luca quickly ran towards me and shifted. I grabbed him out of mid-air and spun him around. I looked back at Maka and smiled. "Hey, Maka. I heard you have a scythe as a partner." I said. "Is that true?" She looked at me confused.
"Yeah, why?" she asked.
"Can I borrow them?" I asked and Maka looked at the guy with white hair. He nodded and changed into a weapon and flew towards me. I caught him with my left hand and gripped Luca in my right. I looked up at Black Star. "Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Hell yeah!" he yelled. "If I defeat you, then that proves I'm better than Kid!" He started laughing, weirdly, and Tsubaki sighed.
"Hey, Reaper. Why do you need 2 scythes?" the white haired kid asked.
"You'll see soon enough, kid." I said, smiling. Fighting is the one thing I truly love to do.
"My name isn't 'kid'. It's Soul. Get it right!" the kid yelled angrily. I laughed.
"Alright, Soul." I said, nodding to nothing in particular. I twirled the two scythes in my hands and ran towards Black Star.
Tsubaki changed into a chain scythe and Black Star ran at me. When we got close to each other, Black Star jumped over me and pushed into my back, using Soul Force. I gasped and my back arched. I stayed like that and started laughing.
I swung Soul back and slammed him into Black Star. I heard movement from my left and quickly brought up Luca to block the bullet's that flew at me.
Kid smirked at me. "Good job, Reaper." he said. I smirked back and nodded. He ran to the side and continued to shoot at me. I spun Soul to block all of the bullet's and used Luca to defend against Black Star.
Tsubaki now changed to a sword. How many transformation's does she have? I jumped onto Black Star's face and launched myself away from them. I need distance.
I glance over to where Maka stood and saw Stein and Death watching us. "Luca. Soul. Let's soul resonance together." I said, smiling.
"Alright." Luca agreed.
"Sure." Soul said. I smiled and put the scythes together where the blade's are on the opposite ends of the staff and opposite side.
"Let's go! Soul Resonance!" We yelled. Our resonance was perfect. "Witch Hunter!" One both sides of the staff was a witch hunter blade.
I threw slashes at both Black Star and Kid. Kid just barely dodged it, but Black Star was hit and sent flying backwards, into the wall. Kid was panting and still ready to fight. I tossed Soul to Maka and she caught him.
"Not strong enough for yah, Kid?" I asked. "Let's go! Soul Resonance! Genie Hunter!" I bolted to Kid. He put up his arms to block himself, but before I could cut him, Death intervened.
"That's enough, Reaper." Death said. "What are you at? What's the highest Soul Resonance can you go up to?"
I jumped back a few feet and tilted my head at him. "Should we tell him?" I asked Luca.
"Why tell him? That won't be fun for you. Let's show him." Luca said. I could feel his smile seeping through.
"Alright." I said, smiling. They all watched me.
"Let's go! Soul Resonance!" We yelled. I pulled back some. "Kishin Hunter!" I heard a few gasped and I smiled. I swung the blade up and cut one of the candle in half.
"No!" Kid screamed. "My symmetry!"
"I have been using Kishin Hunter since I was 8." I snapped before walking away. I walked down the stairs, without walking back. Luca stayed in his weapon form as I walked home. I lost.
