A\N: Heyoo, it's narwhal! I'm going to be (heavily) editing the book, so it's going to be in 3rd person a lot of the time now! Enjoy!

"Hello, District One!" Cadalie Cavalier, the escort, exclaimed with a wave.
The crowd cheered and some people waved back. They must be so excited to have their children reaped for such a pristine event as the Hunger Games! Even better, a Quarter Quell! Cadalie thought.
She clicked the button on the podium. The huge smart screen behind her displayed the video-about the Great Panem War, and about the rebellions. It showed the victors who had rebelled, including Katniss Everdeen, being taken into Capitol custody and surrendering.

When the video ended, she shuffled over to the reaping ball. "In this Quarter Quell, there is not a set number of boys or girls being reaped. Five people will be chosen, regardless of gender. A district could be all boys or all girls!"

With that, she chose the first name.

"Pauline Lepalin!" she said. A tiny ten-year-old screamed from her section. She tried to hide, but the people around her cleared a pathway and shoved her into it. She was crying, and refused to move out of her section. Two Peacekeepers grabbed the girl by both arms and dragged her onto the stage.

"Well, that was Pauline Lepalin, age ten!" Cadalie laughed and stuck her hand back in.

"Da-" she began, but a loud voice cut her off. "I VOLUNTEER!" She was surprised. A tall, lean fourteen-year-old strolled onto the stage. He leaned into the microphone.
"Caraway Johnson, age 14," he said and smiled. "I'm a Career." He sat back down.

She picked out a third name. But before she could even say the name, another volunteer stepped up. It was a girl this time, a bit older. Her hair was long, curly, and the color of a dandelion.

"Lourdes Brighthouse, age 17," she says. Cadalie can already tell by the girl's look that she's a Career.

Number four. She draws a name. "Otto Walsh!" A tall, muscular dark-skinned boy comes up. "I'm Otto Walsh and I'm fifteen," he says. He seems to be a Career as well.

Last one.
"Georgia Benson!" Cadalie says, and a small girl slowly and gloomily comes up. "I'm eleven," is all she says.
"Well, here are the tributes of District One!" she exclaims, presenting the first five children.
