I park in front of Adam's house, climbing out of the car and hugging the hoodie to my body. Now that I think about it, I should've brought my coat.

I lock the car as soon as Max and Ross get out of it and we soon make our way towards the house. I'm ahead of them, wanting to get in the house as soon as possible, but I stop as I reach the porch. Ross opens the door and steps in, not bothering to even knock. Max follows him, not batting an eyelid.

I stand there a little shocked, "You just walk in?"

"I've known Adam for ages, it's fine." Ross brushes it off and pulls me in, holding me by my waist.

Alesa and Adam soon approach us. "Thanks for coming, (Y/N) and Ross, we knew you have been ill for the past few days, so we really appreciate you being able to come." Alesa welcomes us.

"Don't worry about it, we couldn't miss it." I shrug off my hoodie and I notice Alesa can't stop looking at Ross' hand on my waist.

"(Y/N), I wanted to talk to you about..." She stops in thought for a moment. "Tampons, let's go talk privately." She then drags me by my arm towards the kitchen.

Slapping my arm lightly, she then makes sure the three men aren't in hearing distance.

"Ow, what was that for?" I rub my arm, confused about her sudden actions.

"When did you and Ross get together?" She whispers.

"Oh, um long story..." I try to push her away from the subject but she doesn't seem to budge, she just gives me a hard stare. "Well... We were drunk on Wednesday night, we were passing around booze while staying in the bathroom until 5am. Then we kissed and kissing lead to other thi-"

"You had sex!?!" She shouts, interrupting me and making the whole house aware. "Shit."

Max, Adam and Ross all poke their heads around the corner and my face soon starts to heat up in embarrassment.

"So, since we're all on the same topic I guess we could have a group chat." Max nonchalantly strolls into the kitchen with Adam and Ross following behind.

"How far did you get with Ross?" I ask, mainly looking between Max and Adam.

"Nothing, he's a hard walnut to crack." Adam nudges Ross in his ribs.

"Ugh, I guess I'll have to explain then." I scratch the back of my neck, leaning on the kitchen counter with a deep breath. "Basically, we were passing around booze in the bathroom on Wednesday night, getting drunk. It was about 5am and we were hammered. I suggested we kissed after we almost kissed earlier that day when Max was a cock blocker. Kissing lead to other things and we had... Yeah. Then we woke up at around 3pm and he asked me to he his girlfriend. So yeah."

"So romantic!" Adam jokes, laughing at his own joke alongside Max, Alesa and I. Ross stays silent, his hands in his pockets.

"So, let's get to eating!" Adam guides us to a neatly set out table: plates, cutlery, wine glasses and napkins are set out on a table clothed wooden table with matching chairs.

"I'll go bring the food out." Alesa runs into the kitchen and I follow after her. "What are you doing in here?"

"I'm helping out, now don't argue against it because I want to help, least I could to." I pick up some plates and go into the dining room, giving Adam and Max their plates first. When I return I see Alesa setting up a baby chair and taking it into the dining room. I grab two more plates, I place one in front of Ross' spot and one next to Adam, with the baby chair next to him. Alesa picks out a wine as I take the last plate into the dining room and place it at the end of the table, opposite Adam and with Ross to my left and baby Mason to my right.

Alesa hurries out and pours red wine into everyone's glass, she then sits down and we all begin to eat and chat over dinner, Alesa is first to speak.

"You know, I knew that you and Ross were going to get together as soon as I saw you, (Y/N)." She wipes some gravy away with her napkin. "I don't know why, you just looked like a great couple."

Ross places a hand on my left leg, smiling at me as he speaks. "I knew I had to get to know her as soon as Barney brought her over. She looked so beautiful."

I feel all giddy, my heart softening as I place my hand over his.

"What about you. (Y/N)? What did you think of Ross?" Adam grins, genuinely happy about our relationship.

"Where to start! You're all a crazy bunch, so it was startling at first. Broke my leg on the first day, Ross helped me and stayed at the hospital. We slept in the same bed before we were a couple and we just shared so much in that damn bathroom. I had liked you from the start and I knew we were going to get along like a house on fire." I see Ross' eyes well up slightly, causing mine to well up too.

"Young love is so emotional!" Alesa wipes her now crying eyes with her napkin.

"Alesa, you're 4 years older than them." Adam chuckles, playfully rolling his eyes as he leans in and kisses her cheek, "You're still as beautiful as the day I met you."

"I really feel like the ultimate third wheeler. Make that the fifth wheeler." Max continues to eat, grumpily.

"You'll find a female grumpy cat someday, Max." Adam comfortingly taps Max's back.

"No, he'll need a polar opposite. Someone bright, bubbly." I look at Max, imagining him with a girl who wears bright, colourful clothes, long hair and is into cute things.

"I can imagine that." Ross nods, looking towards Max. As he does this, I feel Ross' hand slightly sneak up my leg and onto my inner thigh. I give him a sly look and try to ignore it.

We continue to eat dinner, making small talk. Yet, I can barely concentrate as Ross doesn't move his hand for most of the dinner.

"How is it working at the office?" Alesa asks me as she finishes her dinner.

{HA. OMG, IT'S THE NAME OF THE BOOK, ALMOST}

"Good, I just sit it my office all day, so it's good." I joke as she collects everyone's plates and runs into the kitchen.

"Let's go to our entertainment!" Adam excitedly exclaims and leads us to the living room. Ross is following behind me as we see Adam has set up a home movie projector, it's facing a blank wall and it covers it all.

"Wow." I say under my breath in shock.

"Wow, indeed." Ross whispers into my ear, pulling me into his chest from behind. Something tells me Ross is awfully 'excited' this evening. Not in a sexual way, he hasn't got a... you know.

There are sofas set out facing the screen, three sofas to fit two. One of the sofas is distanced from the others, in the dark corner of the room. Ross immediately takes us to that one while Max sits on one on his own, I feel so bad for him.

Alesa comes in after putting Mason to bed and sits on one of the sofas with Adam, passing me and Ross, Max and Adam a bowl of popcorn.

"So, what're we watching?" Max asks, already digging into his popcorn.

"I have no idea, I hoped to watch an anime film but I don't have any ideas." Adam shrugs.

Just before anybody had time to think of an answer I interrupt, "I know one." They look at me expectantly. "Now, I don't cry at 'emotional films', like ever. Didn't cry at Titanic or The Fault in Our Stars. But this one had me balling. It's called Wolf Children, hopefully it has it."

And it did.

(Going to go re-watch it now so I can write about it.)
