MAX POV

Ross then stands up, and he looks around him in confusion as he wraps a blanket around him. When he tries to take a step forward he trips so I leap forward and catch him as I yell his name.

"Ross? Are you okay?" I ask him, watching as he relentlessly mumbles and fidgets. I pull my phone from my pocket, I had found it on the kitchen counter the whole time, and call 911.

"Hello, 911, what is your emergency?" A kind sounding lady asks.

"Hello, I need an ambulance at (address) immediately, my friend is mumbling and rolling on the floor." I walk back and fourth across the living room, keeping my eyes on Ross as I nibble at my finger nails.

"Okay, the closest ambulance is luckily just 5 minutes away. What is your name, sir?" I hear the woman rattling away at a keyboard.

"Thank god, my name is Max, my friend's name is Ross." I rush, kneeling next to Ross and holding onto his hand.

"Hi Max, I'm Julia, what was Ross doing before?" She asks.

"It's a long story."

"Well we have five minutes, tell me. Please." Her soft voice rings through the phone and I let out a deep breath.

"Me and (Y/N), his girlfriend, walked in to find him on the settee with our other female roommate. It appeared as they had sex and (Y/N) rushed out and got into Adam's car, Adam was the one who dropped us off after Ross took an hour to pick us up but didn't arrive. Guess he as busy with something else." I explain, Julia let's out a noise to tell me to go on, "The thing is, Ross would never do that to (Y/N), so I don't know what's happened."

"Okay. I don't want to concern you but is Ross' drink nearby?" She asks a very strange question, but I follow it. I look to the coffee table beside us to see a glass of coke which was next to them both.

"Yes," Lauren never drinks coke, she states it gets you fat immediately.

"Okay, I need you to bring it to the hospital with you." She's being very vague, I listen as she types, "I'll write an email to the doctor who will examine Ross to let him know about the glass, he'll take it from there."

"Okay, why?"

"We don't want to worry you. Its just a theory. Please just do it." She begs.

"I will," I look out the window to see the ambulance pull up, "The ambulance is here."

"Ask for Julia Giles, I'll see you there." She ends the call and I move (Y/N)'s bag out of the way as the paramedics jog up to the house and into the living room.

One of the men kneel down next to him with a dark green bag, trying to talk to Ross. When they check him over to see no physical damage has been caused, they help him stand up, but he cannot seem to even walk. Tears come to my eyes, I shouldn't have to see my best friend in a state where they cannot even walk.

I follow behind them, carrying the glass as they carry him to the ambulance, carefully but quickly strapping him into the back of the ambulance.

I jump in and one of them jumps in the back with me, the other jumps to to the steering wheel, puts the sirens on and speeds down the road.

It's all a blur really as we live quite close to the hospital, they jump out, place him onto a hospital bed and nurses begin wheeling him down the crème hallways. I follow close behind them, holding the glass closely to my chest to avoid myself from dropping it.

He's taken to a ward and I stand next to them as they hook him up to machines, I watch as he looks at me, his glasses slightly tilted. The nurses seem to be done quite quickly.

"Excuse me, but I was told to ask for Julia Giles?" I ask a short hispanic woman as she holds a clip board.

"I'll get her for you, sir." She smiles as she wobbles away. When I then back to Ross I see the nurse has pulled the curtains closed and has departed.

I sit on the stiff leather chair next to the bed, fixing Ross' glasses while comfortingly smiling at him.

Suddenly, the blue curtains are opened and quickly closed, there stands Julia Giles, her rather large name tag displaying her name, her dark purple hair flowing off her shoulders. She's not super skinny, but she's slightly chubby, like a typical mother.

"Hey, Max?" Julia extends her arm to me, "It's Julia."

"Nice to meet you. I have the glass." I pass it to her, she thanks me and then leaves.

It's now 3am. I'm too worried to fall asleep for Ross' sake. They already took him for some exams a while back.

Then, just as my mind falls to (Y/N), the curtains open to reveal a doctor and Julia. They walk in, shutting the curtains briskly behind them.

"Come with us, we have some news about Ross." I stand up to follow them and that's when two nurses take Ross' bed to another direction.

We walk into a bland room, it appears to be an office. The walls are a dull green with school like carpets lining the floor, but with photos and odd little things lying around the office.

"Max, I'm afraid we have some bad news." The doctor starts.

"..." My throat tightens and butterflies swarm in my stomach.

Seeing the look on my face, the doctor let's out a sigh, "Ross has been taken to get his stomach pumped, we have found a drug called ketamine in his system. It should be fine as we have been able to quickly figure out what's wrong."

I let out a sigh of relief, glad to find out he is going to be okay.

"That's not the only news." Julia gives me a saddened look.

"We found it suspicious to find this large amount of ketamine in his system, so we had a quick check of his... Fluids. To find he has had sex, supposedly with Lauren. The thing is, you stated he wasn't the kind of person to do this, correct?" The doctor intimidates me, leaning forward on his desk as he looms over me.

"No, he's been loyal to all his last partners. That is what confused me the most," I confess.

"So, we came to the solution that Ross might have been drugged and raped by Lauren."

The words hit me like a brick to the face being thrown by the Hulk who was thrown by King Kong who was thrown my Godzilla, "Raped? R-Really?"

"Let's mine is actually used for illegal highs but due to someone being new to the drug, it knocks them out and makes them hallucinate. Once it is all out of his system he should be fine. This should take a day or two. Once this does happen, we will call the police to get a statement. If it doesn't, which I seriously doubt, then we will have to figure out a plan." He explains. But I cannot focus on anything but that fact that Lauren raped him, the woman we've been living with, drug raped him.

"I would take this as a time to call friends, family or partners. I'm sorry for the bad news. I wish you luck."

I leave the room and somberly walk back to Ross' cubicle. Around an hour later, Ross is brought back and he looks awful. His skin is pale and bags are completely visible under his closed eyes. His glasses lay on the table next to him, the nurses smile a comforting smile towards me before they leave.

I look down to my phone... They need to know. She needs to know.
