That's when I spot what Adam brought in for Ross, it sits on the bed side table and a smile is instantly brought to my face.

I walk up to the picture frame I made him and look at the post it note that's stuck to it.

It reads:

'Brought this for you like you asked, well, like you asked by drawing on the whiteboard. Hope you get better soon, I'll see you tomorrow sleepy head.'

I sit down in the chair next to Ross and Max sits on the chair that's against the wall (the bed is at the very end of the room).

I lean forward, examining Ross as he peacefully sleeps. I bring my hand up to his face as I gently stroke it, noticing his typical red cheeks have disappeared and only light skin lays in front of me.

"I really hope he will be okay, I feel so bad for running out." I talk to Max as I stroke Ross' hair.

"You didn't know, no one knew. Well, apart from..." Max stops himself mid sentence, "But, all we can do is hope he will get better."

"So, what's happened so far? Any information or tests you haven't told me?"

"He has just gotten back from getting his stomach pumped, by tomorrow it should all be gone from his system. He even said he should be able to stop hallucinating when he wakes up." Max looks at Ross as he lays as still as a rock at the bottom on the ocean.

"He normally isn't this still in his sleep..." I mumble.

"(Y/N)... Don't worry me over small things. He'll be fine."

It's lunch time so Max heads out to grab a sandwich for me and himself. Also grabbing some snacks for all three of us. The nurse comes around the room offering three choices for lunch. I end up choosing macaroni and cheese, jelly and orange juice for Ross as he cannot choose for himself.

I pull the retractable table out so it hovers on the left of Ross (I'm on the right of him), it can be pulled towards him to act as a table he can eat off of. The nurse then hands me the tray of food so I carefully place it on the table, sitting back down.

"Excuse me," I ask a new nurse who hands prescriptions around, "Is it okay to wake him?"

"Well, he will need to take his medicine now, so I guess he could also have his lunch." He grins as he passes me a small cup with a variety of pills. "Make sure he swallows them all."

The nurse then leaves, closing the curtain behind him just as Max comes in.

"I've got to wake Ross so he can have his medicine and food." I tell Max as I gently shake Ross, whispering his name in an attempt to wake him up.

"(Y/N)?" Ross rubs his eyes as he carefully sits up in the raised bed.

"Hey, are you okay?" I ask, taking hold of his cold hand.

"Why are you here? Don't you hate my guts?" His tattered voice croaks as he looks up at me with slightly squinted eyes.

I pick up his glasses from the counter and slide them on his face, smiling comfortingly, "I'm not mad, I'm sorry for storming out when not knowing the full story."

"I... Why am I at the hospital? I... I remember Lauren... And Max. And you, dropping your bag and running away, I could hear, but not move. It was scary." He looks terrified out of his mind as he looks around the place, "Wait, I can remember being here. I was in a strange state where I couldn't speak..."

I watch as his eyes latch onto the photo frame beside him, I then watch as his eyes look at my chest to see the necklace still around my neck. I refused to remove it because it just felt wrong, "You kept it?"

"Yes," I smile, "Now eat up and take your pills."

As Ross eats I pick up my phone and text Max, he is only across the room but I don't want to speak over Ross like he isn't here.

Me: Should we let the doctor tell him?

Max: About 'R'?

Me: Yeah, I want to let him know but not now, and frankly I don't want to tell that to him.

Max: Let's try and enjoy our time with Ross, I'll leave and ask you if you would like a drink, I'll then leave you two for 10 minutes, enjoy.

I turn my phone off and place it upside down on the table beside me as Ross swallows his pills, "I'm going to get a drink, do you want anything?"

"I'll have orange juice, want anything, Ross?" I turn to face him as he takes a bite of his macaroni, he shakes his head vigorously to say 'no'.

"Alright, bye for now." He then slips out through the curtains, I watch as they slightly move, eventually stopping.

I turn to face Ross and he has almost finished his meal as I examine his face in curiosity. He notices me staring and furrows his eyebrows in confusion, placing his empty tray on the table while grabbing the small pot of jelly and a plastic spoon off of it, "What?"

"Nothing, just... I've missed you Ross." I sigh, running my hands through my hair as I look down at my pyjamas.

"Why are you wearing pyjamas?" Ross asks, finishing his pot of jelly and chucking it on the tray, along with the spoon and plate.

"Adam came to me at four am to tell me Max was in hospital, I rushed out in a jacket, pajamas and slippers. Turns out you were the one who had been rushed to hospital." I sigh, eyeing Ross, "What do you remember from last night?"

"Umm, Lauren gave me a drink, I drank some and began to head out but I passed out. Then my body felt... cold, very cold, I felt... Kisses on my lips. I didn't know what to feel, I couldn't move. Then I felt a strange sensation all over my body. I don't really remember in much detail. That scares me." His soft eyes look up to me in fear, I stand up and pull him into a hug, holding him close to comfort him as he tightly holds onto me. I slightly pull back, looking into his eyes and glancing at his lips. Our lips then collide as we slowly kiss, my hands on the sides of his face as I close my eyes.

Suddenly, the curtains are pulled apart, me and Ross quickly pull away from each other and I look to the floor.

I thought Max said we had 10 minutes...

That's when I look up to see the doctor from earlier looking in between us with odd glances.

"I can... Go..."

The next chapter will be the last (sigh, I'll upload that one in a few minutes.
