Skylor's Account
Skylor paced in her room. This wasn't good. Voting? What was her father possibly thinking? She knew she'd be the one who would be getting out, not only because of the couples, but because of her recent murder attempt. "Attention, everyone!" Her father's voice boomed. "Come to the Hall for voting!" Skylor grumbled. She needed time to think. Nevertheless, she forced herself down into the Hall. Surprisingly, the test tables were still out, completely transformed into a breakfast buffet. "A reward for doing so well!" Chen giggled, grinning. Skylor shrugged and heaped her plate full of bacon and eggs, then sat down by herself. She noticed that Jay and Riptide were sitting next to each other, and the same went for Kai and Twilight. They were talking. Laughing. Having a good time. Before she could feel lonely, Skylor shook herself. She had to win, and winners couldn't feel lonely. Everyone was just a tool for her to use. Lifting her head higher, she finished her breakfast and walked over to Master Chen. "Did you fix the machines yet?" Chen chuckled quietly. "Not yet. Why don't you? There in that room over there." He pointed to a side room, which had five voting machines standing in a row. Quickly, she scrambled over to the first machine. Who should she get out? Twilight and Kai had humiliated her, and Riptide seemed like a threat, but Jay... Well, if Jay were to get out, Riptide would be too sad to compete normally. If Riptide was out, Twilight would be too sad to compete normally. And if Twilight was out, Kai wouldn't be at his best, so naturally, the winner could be her. Smiling at her twisted logic, Skylor knelt down and cheated the machines. Not five minutes after she finished, the other competitors entered. Chen gave them five minutes to vote. Skylor watched as everyone voted for her, with a prickle of anger. She'd show them. Chen then began to check the scores. "And..." He winked at Skylor. "Jay is out." Skylor grinned again, pleased with her handiwork. "Don't lose, Riptide!" Jay yelled as he fell. "Win this for me!" "No!" Riptide gasped, horrified. "Jay!" She screamed. "Jay... Jay... No..." She whipped around, her accusing glare sweeping the room. "Who voted for him?" She shrieked. "How could you all do this?" Sobbing, she ran out of the Hall and back to her room. Annoyed that she had left before he had dismissed everyone, Chen announced bowling (with a twist) tomorrow, then stalked away himself, leaving everyone to go back to their rooms. As Skylor passed by Riptide's room, she heard faint wails and cries. She stopped and listened for a moment. It was all probably over Jay. For a brief second, Skylor felt a twinge of pity, then criticized herself for it. It was this or her own demise, after all. Skylor shrugged and walked back to her own suite without another thought.
