i watched you leave that day
standing, waiting, for you
to catch me but darkness
overwhelmed the senses
i want to feel your touch
the warmth sends a tingling
sense that i've never felt
but i fell hard
in fact, you were never
here, imagination
i imagined the touch
the one i can never forget
you left me stranded, gone
my cold love was stepped on
