HER POV
It was Thursday, the fourth day Lucas had been driving me to and from school. Our car rides were silent, except for the music Lucas played which I found very annoying. I would put in my earphones and listen to my own songs as soon as he turned on the radio. Today we started the same way. I was listening to my music then opened a book to do a bit of reading. When I looked up from my book I saw Lucas looking at me and smiling like some idiot. "You should keep your eyes on the road." I said.
He shifted his gaze to the road but continued to smile. "Did you know you were singing?" he questioned.
"I wasn't singing." I replied shortly.
"Yes you were." he argued. "Your voice is nice though. It's cute." he added. I ignored his compliment and thanked him for the ride before getting out of the car.

"So, how's it been being driven to school by the biggest douchebag in school?" Talia asked, walking up behind me. Talia has been my friend since middle school. We're very different but get along well and she was one of the few people I could be myself with.
"I don't wanna talk about it T." I said as I shut my locker and made my way to class. We took the long route to avoid running into Lucas or his friends.
"Come on! You said he tried to apologize so he must be treating you better." Talia continued.
"We don't talk. I just listen to music while he drives and I like it like that."
"Fine. But if something happens, I want to hear about it." I nodded then parted ways with her, heading to a different class.
*********
I managed to get to each of my classes without running into anybody I was avoiding. Because I didn't play a fall sport there was nothing to do while waiting for Lucas to finish football practice. The cafeteria was closed for some meeting so I made my way to the track and field and sat under the bleachers to avoid the sun. I took out a sketch book and began to draw. The book was filled with lots of different things. It held drawings of people, animals, and nature. I was almost finished with my latest drawing, a ballerina, when I noticed the players begin the clear the field. I emerged from my hiding place and waited beside the school.
"What's up loser!?" I heard someone yell. When I looked up I saw two of Lucas' friends walking towards me.
