--- Ezra's POV ---

"- and what are we even doing here?" Connor was asking Aqualad questions he didn't have answers to.

I sighed. "Connor. Enough. Kaldur knows as much as we do here. Let him breath." I shrugged, setting my pot of stew aside. I'd made Kid Flash go get it for me.

He huffed, and sat on a rock. "Whatever. I could be hanging out with SuperBike right now, but no. The king of the ocean wants to talk."

"Actually, he specifically said 'hang out', as in, we're probably partying. And no one parties like a mermaid. I'd say we're in for a treat." I grinned.

He huffed again and remained silent. Suddenly the ocean started bubbling, and a ship in the shape of a Manta-Ray slowly rose a few hundred meters out. It slowly drifted towards us. Aqualad grinned. "Perfect! I used to love driving those."

"What when you were 9? You're not old enough to have 'I used to'. Okay?" I snickered.

He smiled. "Yes, when I was around 8. I used to steal them, drove them around, and bring them back before they were missed."

I blinked in shock, and Connor slowly looked at him, jaw agape. I coughed. "Wait... You?? Steal? You took Mer-cars on joyrides? When did you become a super stick in the mud?"

He frowned. "When I was called upon as a soldier by his majesty to be an emissary to the surface as his apprentice. I decided to be a positive image of Atlantis, not an immature hooligan."

I snorted. "Dude. It's okay to live a little as long as you're serious when the time comes to be. Look at me. I'm a jokester, but I can be serious."

He narrowed his eyes. "Speaking of which. How do you do all those things? What's your power?" I opened my mouth to tell him it was classified, and he raised a hand to silence me. "And don't say it's classified. You know our secrets. What's yours?"

I sighed. "Fine. But not a word to anyone. Aquaman doesn't know any of this. Batman, Robin, and Diana do, of course, but that's because Batman knows everything, Robin is my battle brother, and Diana is my mother."

"I swear by the Atlantean Gods, I will not willingly spread anything you say to me now." Kaldur said.

Connor nodded. "I keep secrets well, and if you think this is that important, it's not my place to disagree."

"... Fine. Fine. Alright, where to start..." I tapped my chin.

"How about the beginning?" Aqualad furnished.

I nodded. "Alright. I'm what is known as an 'Accelerator'. It's an entire race of Super Powered people, like the Atlantean's. I'm the last of my kind, sort of like Superman is almost the last of his. There are others, but they're... Well... Connor, you know the differences between yourself and Supes. I'm not trying to offend you, but you know?"

He nodded, scowling.

"Well, I'm Superman, in this situation, and the others of my race are clones. Sort of. They receive a gene transplant, that gives them my genome, giving them powers that are... Much less efficient than mine." I said.

His gaze cleared, and he nodded. Kaldur hummed. "So, what is your power?"

"I'm getting there, man, you wanted the beginning." I said.

"Sorry."

"Now. Uhm... Okay. I was born in North Dakota. I don't want to go into the details of my birth, but let's just say 3 miles of land, in a perfect sphere around me, disappeared in an instant, including my mother and Doctor and Records... Everything. That's why no one knows anything about me I don't tell them." I said.
