"Hi, I'm Emilie." I say, choosing to ignore the way my heart is pounding against my chest so hard I'm afraid it might burst. I wait for him to tell me to shut up or something but I'm met with fits of laughter.

"Emilie, hey? Well nice to meet you, although I'm sorry I had to do that." He says totally not getting the concept if introducing himself.

"Ya, Emilie SPARKS," I spit, hoping to catch him off guard or something. But again he just laughs, and this time I feel myself being juggled in one arm while the guy opens a door to a car. My face is thrown into his neck without warning.

"I have legs ya know," I mumble, somewhat annoyed. He sets me down, still holding onto my hand tightly before lifting me into a vehicle.

"Sorry 'bout that luv," He says and I frown, either this guy was gonna start talking, or he gets a foot to the face- or whatever my foot connects with.

"I'll buckle you up, then when we get there, I promise I'll take off the blindfold." He adds when I don't say anything.

     "Listen, Em-"

"It's Emilie or nothing bud," I growl as I feel him pull the seat belt around my waist. And I'm sitting in the middle of the seat, not at the side, which I find really creepy.

"Why am I sitting so close to you?" I ask nonchalantly, as he gets in and starts the car.

"Don't want ya to get cold, now do we?" He puts his arm around my shoulder much to my disgust.

"No, of course not." I say through clenched teeth, I really can't stand this guy. I mean, who kidnaps a kid in the middle of the day, and then tries to make small talk?

"What's your name?" I ask sweetly, and for the heck of it, lean my head against him.

"Can't tell ya, sorry luv." He says simply. And I frown for the millionth time.

"Fine, I'll just call you Creep. So Creep, can you at least give me a hint as to where you're taking me?" I say and I hear him groan,

"Fletcher. It's Fletcher ok? Now I'll probably get fired, so you better be happy," I smirk playfully, as I bring my hands to my face and slide the blindfold off my head.

"Yes, thank you Fletch." I look up to him and gasp when I see he's still young. He couldn't be more than seventeen, "So my killer is still a fellow minor?" I mumble and try to lean away from him.

"Emilie, you seriously haven't figured it out yet? Ugh, who else hires kids to train as assassins?" He exclaims, sarcasm thick in his voice. And like that, I get it, Fletch works for Costa. And this is where he is taking me.

"Oh thank you!" I scream happily.

"Whoa there, if I didn't know any better I'd think you wanted to get kidnapped." He chuckles but I just nod eagerly, "I do- er I mean I wanted to go to Costa but Jake wouldn't let me!"

"Why kidnap me? Aww! Does Jane want to talk to me?" I gasp in astonishment I've always looked up to Jane, she's such a brave woman. When the whole Axil/ Costa thing was taking place, she started dating Alex, even though he worked for Axil at the time.

"I dunno, I'm just doing my job," Fletcher shrugs and I "accidentally" jab him in the ribs with my elbow.

"Oops! Sorry Fletch," I spit before closing my eyes. It's so hard to hate a creep when he's so good looking I pout to myself.

"Wakey, wakey Emilie," I hear Fletcher sing and I quickly open my eyes to find in closer than I want him to be.

"Personal space!" I shout and push him away, causing him to hit his head on the side of the door.

"Alright miss, let's go," He growls and pulls me from the car, and not to gently I might add.

"Ow! Hey, I'll have you know that- let go!" I cry as he twists my arm, the one that I broke when I was five. My left arm that still hurts if I twist it a certain way, exactly the way Fletcher is holding it.

"No, not until I finish my job!" He shoots back and twists further.

"Fletch! Please let go!" I say on the verge of tears, I notice he's pulling me towards a huge glass building. Costa.

"It's Fletcher or nothing bud," He mocks in a high- pitched voice, and if I wasn't in so much pain, I'd protest. I do not sound like that.

"Please Fletcher! It hurts," I whine just as a tall dark haired man walks by.

"Emilie?" He says and I realize it's Alex, "That's not you is it?" And oh! Fletcher is so scared, I think to myself as I finally wiggle out of his grasp and into Alex's waiting arms. I've always liked Alex, and I'm pretty sure nothing will change that.

"And who're you?" He address' Fletcher sternly, while I'm at his side sticking my tongue out at him.

"I was assigned to get her under custody sir," Fletch stutters and I have to stop myself from laughing.

"Don't you know who this is?" Alex raises his voice and I see him flinch.

"Y-yes sir, she's Emilie Sparks." I look up to Alex and catch him shaking his head sadly, "Take her to Jane, but if you so much as lay a hand on her, so help me-"He stops himself and turns to me. Jane is Maddy's middle name, the name she uses at work. Maddalena is her birth name but she finds it easier to use a more common name.

"Em, here, If you ever need anything just call ok?" Alex tells me as he hands me a cell phone, a blackberry to be exact.

"And be careful hun," He reaches down and I try not to flinch when he rubs my arm softly. Other people probably wouldn't be able to tell, but when Alex is mad, this vein in his neck sticks out a bit. And he is mad.

"Ok, I'll see you later babe," He says and kisses my forehead before sending a glare over to Fletcher.

"Bye Alex," I say to remind him that noone disobeys Mr. Alexander Sparrows. He nods and he walks towards his blue Aston Martin.
