*Vicky's POV*
"I can't believe it's been a year we've been together!!" I said while putting makeup on.
"Girl, you're lucky!! Noah and I have only been together for 6 months! And it's hard!" Said Anthony.
Anthony met some guy off and his Facebook and it just so happens that this Noah guy us gay and lives in San Diego!! Don't get me wrong, Noah's a nice guy, I love seeing Anthony smile. Oh and Jaime and I are great. We do have fights ((small ones)) but it all blows over. Anyway..... Back to the conversation.....
"Haha. Promise me, you may have arguments, but you'll push forward. If he truly cares about you, he'll do anything and everything to make sure nothing happens to you. I said
"Aww Vicky......" Anthony said
Anthony pulled me into a hug. Anthony is like the bestest friend I've ever had!! I love him so so much!!❤❤ he let me go. Then he said So, what's the plans for today??"
"Mmm. I'm not sure. Jaime's busy with the band. Soo.... Today is best friends day!!" I yelled
"Really??! Omg!! This is like the first time your away from Jaime!!" Anthony said loudly
"I know!! And I wanna spend it with you, my BEST FRIEND!!" I shouted.
"Okay. Lemme go get ready." Anthony said.
"Okay I said. Anthony got in the shower and I finally got done straightening my hair after 30 minutes in my bedroom. I went into the living room and turned on the TV I sat there watching We Bare Bears. My favorite cartoon network show. It was the episode where the bears get a job at the cupcake shop. Then my phone rang. "Hello?" I said.
"Hello is this Victoria Hughes?"
"Um yes this is she."
"Okay Victoria, this is ShadyGrove hospital, a guy named Steven was transported here from a car accident near San Diego; and you're one of the emergency contacts in his phone. I was wondering if you could come down and give us some information on him. No medical files were found on him."
I had no words. Steven was my abusive ex boyfriend. He brought me down, beat me until I couldn't move a muscle. He even put me into the hospital for 2 weeks. My heart began to pound out of my chest. Why does he have my phone number? How did he find it? I changed my number at least 5 times?
"Um.... Okay. I'll see what I can do." I responded
"Okay. Just be sure to call back. Have a good day." Said the lady on the phone
"You to" I said. I hung up the phone and tears began to fall. And I began to bawl my eyes out. Anthony walked in. "What the f*ck happened??!!" He said.
I wipes my tears. And explained the phone call. "OhMyGosh!!" Anthony said
He pulled me into a hug. "What are you going to do?" He whispered into my ears.
"I don't know Anthony. I don't want to see him. Only if he's dead or near death. He hurt me inside and out. I vowed that no matter what situation he was in I wouldn't go and see him or help him because I couldn't get help." I said.
"Nobody's asking you to Vicky. Nobody's going to force you either. Now, let's go hang out together." Anthony said with a smile.
"I'm sorry I cried. your right. Its just that when I heard that name, so many bad memories came to me. And the pain all flooded back."
"I understand Vicky. I was there. Remember? And I'm here now. I love you Vicky. And I won't let anyone hurt you" Anthony said.
"I love you too." I said
He smiled and said "so,... What's the plans for today??"
"Let's watch a movie!!" I said.
" I wanna watch that movie Zootopia!" I continued with
"That's sounds good! And some dinner afterwards and the arcade! Anthony said
"Wow. Have the whole day planned don't cha?" I said
"Haha. Well..... We haven't hung out in a long time!!"
"Okay. Okay. And because I care, everything is on me."
Anthony and I got into our car. We wen to the theater and got our tickets for the movie. We hung out in the little game room. Played some pool then got our snacks and went into the movie. After the movie we decided to go and eat a Dave & Buster's so we could eat AND play games.
" This is so much fun!!" Anthony said while eating some hot wings.
" haha. I know!! I dont think I can finish my burger... I'm stuffed!!" I said throwing my napkin on my plate.
"Okay. Let's go play some games!!" Anthony said jumping out of the booth.
We played games for about a hour or so. Then we decided to go and get desert at the nearby ice cream parlor.
"I'll have the one scoop of ice cream on the waffle cone, make it pistachio almond." I said.
"I'll take the same but make the ice cream turtle pecan" Anthony said.
We sat inside eating ice cream and reminiscing on high school days. Then there was a phone call from an unknown number. I decided to answer it. "Hello?" I said
"This Victoria?" A man's voice on the other end.
"Yes. Who's asking?"
"I think you know who it is Hon." The man said.
Oh God. I looked down at the number. The last four numbers looked familiar. 3293. Vicky you dumb girl. Its Steven. You dumb sh*t.
"Hey still there? Gah I can already feel you tremble. Still scared?" He said creepily
I dropped the phone and began to cry. Anthony picked up the phone and yelled into it. All I heard was we're calling the police. He wraped his arms around me and he began to cry with me.
"We need to report him!!" Yelled Anthony.
"Lets do it!! I can't have him have control of me. He already hurt me too much."
We pulled up to the nearby police station. And we decided to put in Steven for harassment and domestic violence. Officer Joe helped us. "Do you know where he's at? Could you give me a description?"
"Yes, this morning I got a call from ShadyGrove hospital. He is about 6 feet tall. Long hair that's a dark brown. The has a lip piercing." I said.
"Is there any distinct feature you remember of him?" Officer Joe asked.
"Umm..... Oh he has this weird freckle on his left cheek." I said
"Thank you Vicky. My partner and I will do everything we can to capture this guy for you. I understand everything you've been through. I want to do anything and everything I can to capture this man. And once we have him. I'll give you a call "
I began to tear up. And hugged officer Joe. "Thank you!!" I said.
Anthony drove us home. And we went to bed.
