RECAP: It was quiet for a moment, then a load screeching noise filled the air. I covered my ears with my palms and slowly the door opened. My eyes widened. Past the room was a huge room, and inside the room was what looked like a rocket ship.

I rubbed my eyes and looked again to check to make sure I wasn’t seeing things., yep there was a rocket ship sitting in the middle of a huge, empty, metal room. I pinched myself to see if I was dreaming, and it hurt. What the heck was going on?

I glanced over at Christie to see her staring open-mouthed at the rocket. Yet Rick walked right in like he owned the place. I shook my head, I might as well enjoy the ride while it lasts, right?

Stepping into the room I followed Rick down to the rocket, where a ladder was set up to get the door. I looked back, expecting to find Christie at the door, but instead she was standing right behind me. “Am I dreaming?” she asked.

I chuckled and pinched her, she squealed, “Nope your awake.”

She slapped my chest playfully, “Your so mean.”

I laughed, and started to climb the ladder before Rick could leave without us. Once I was in I helped Christie and we stared around us, there was a huge room with four seats, one sitting in front of a huge control panel, and a window similar to those in a car above the controls. Rick was buckling up at the seat. “Are you two going to just stand there and get slammed into the wall when I start this thing, or are you going to sit?”

Christie and I quickly scrambled to the other seats and buckled in, though I had a little trouble with mine. I turned to Christie as the rocket began to go off. “Do you really believe this?”

Christie frowned, “Zeus, we’re in a rocket for Pete’s sake! How can you not?”

I shrugged and looked down, “It’s just weird, I mean how could I be royalty.”

Christie rolled her eyes, “Ok, look at your name. Zeus was the King of the Greek Gods. There’s a hint.”

It was my turn to roll my eyes, “I doubt they named me Zeus because I would one day be a King.”

Christie opened her mouth to say something but suddenly the ship made a jerking motion and both our seats suddenly turned around and slammed to a stop. I was jerked from my seat and went strait toward a pole. I didn’t have time to blink before I slammed into it and everything went black.

There was a light pressure on my forehead and a sharp pain spread through my whole head. I groaned. There was a gasp, “He’s awake!”

I recognized the voice, “Christie?” My eyes fluttered open, to find Christie leaning over me, a smile plastered onto her face. “What happened?”

Christie laughed, “We went through the moon and it got a little bumpy, I guess we forgot to lock our seats so they spun around and you didn’t buckle in very good because you flew out of your seat, hit a pole, and went unconscious.”

I groaned, and then a realization accord to me, “Did you say we went through the moon?”

Christie nodded, “Yeah, it’s really real Zeus…Zeus don’t get up your head!”

I ignored her and got up from where I was lying on the floor and walked over to the window. I gasped, outside of the spaceship were mountains, but instead of being brown and green they were blue. And the sky instead of being blue was yellow, all of it with no light source anywhere. I stole a glance at Rick who was piloting the aircraft. “Look, we’re coming up to Pallasathea.”

I jerked my head back to the window, where what appeared to be farms started to appear, I realized how fast we were going then because we sped past them. Soon we came upon a city, and at its center was a palace, with no buildings around it for what appeared to be a good tow miles. The aircraft slowly descended then, until we came to a stop at a huge gate in front of the palace, where what looked like guards carrying pulsing blue swords were waiting. Rick cut the engine and turned to us, “Ok, when we get out there, I’ll have to show them your burn Zeus ok? Then we’ll be escorted inside to the King, whenever in the presence of the King, you must bow, and Christie you must curtsy.”

“What?” Christie gasped, but Rick ignored her and quickly made a beeline for the door. I chuckled and followed suit. Once we reached the ground I took a deep breath and my eyes widened, this air was so clean, and there was so much more of it. I took another breath, savoring it. Christie seemed to be doing the same, but hers looked much more funnier, with her gasping for another breath of the rich air.

A guard stepped forward, “Show your identification,” he said with authority.

I thrust my arm out, revealing the burn from earlier. Loyalty crossed the guards face and he bowed, “Prince Pallasathea, it is an honor to be in your presence, I will escort you to the King.”

I nodded and followed the guard into the palace, along with Christie and Rick. The palace was huge, with fancy art and furniture, but I didn’t really care for that stuff. We reached a huge door and the guard stopped, “If you would like I can take the girl off your hands” the guard said hungrily.

Christie gasped, “You do not treat my sister like that” I growled.

The guard froze immediately, “I am sorry if I disrespected you, my highness. If you may excuse me.” The guard quickly scurried away.

I turned to Rick, “What the heck was that about?”

Rick sighed, “Here the women are treated like…toys.”

“That is not right,” I growled.

“I think the same, but there is nothing I can do to change that” Rick replied.

I turned to Christie, “You are to stay at my side at all times, do you hear me?”

She nodded, her eyes full of fear. I turned back to Rick, “Remember what I said.” He opened the door then, to a huge study with book cases on every wall and a desk with a man with graying hair and a aura of authority around him. I stepped into the room and went to the desk I bowed when he had looked up from his papers, and I knew Christie wa curtsying but I wish I could see it.

“Ah, the Prince of Pallasathea is finally home” the King said before standing.
