TIME SKIP

I was doodling at the dinner table with my brothers, humming a tune I didn't really remember. I was drawing Mom, Dad, Papy, Sans, and me, all in front of our house, holding hands. Dad said he had a surprise for us, so we were passing the time by coloring.

"Hey, Sis? What are you drawing?"

I looked up at Sans and smiled.

"I'm drawing a murderous bear eating a village of chipmunks." I grinned.

"Wait, what?! Really?" He was shocked.

"No, you doof. I'm drawing our family!"

"Ohh. Heh, okay. I'm drawing myself." Sans explained.

I looked over to his paper, and saw what looked like Sans in a hot dog suit. His cartoon was saying something like 'Do you like my  buns?" and I immediately burst out laughing. Sans caught me looking, and he started laughing too.

Papyrus looked up at us, obviously confused.

"What's so funny?"

"Sans'... Paper!" I choked out through my giggles.

At this point, I was crying and pounding my fist on the table, so Papyrus just had to see what had gotten me all worked up. He leaned across the table, and in a matter of seconds, his face went from curiosity to complete disgust.

"SANS, OH MY GOD! I WAS SIMPLY DRAWING A DOG, AND YOU SOMEHOW MANAGED TO INCLUDE YOUR HORRIBLE JOKES INTO YOUR ARTWORK?!" He shouted, before slamming his face down onto the table. "You appall me, brother." He grumbled.

Even though his mouth was muffled by the tabletop, we were both able to understand it, and it made us laugh harder.

"What in the name of quadratic formulas is going on in here?" Gaster asked, entering the kitchen.

"Dad!" The three of us shouted in unison.

"Goodness, children, I heard your hollering from my desk, all the way upstairs!" He laughed, taking a seat next to Sans.

"Hehe! Sorry, Papa."  I said. "Are you gonna give us the surprise yet?"

"As a matter of fact, Verdi, I am."  He said, leaning back in his chair.

"As you all know, Papyrus' birthday is coming up. That means, you all will be five years old."

All three of us nodded at him.

"Since it only springtime, I know it may be a while before this happens, but I wanted to tell you all ahead of time."

"Tell us what, Dad?" Sans asked, putting down his crayon.

"Well, this fall, you all will be starting school!"

All three of us looked at each other, before getting up from our seats and cheering loudly...

"WOOHOO!"

"WE'RE GONNA GO TO SCHOOL!"

"HOORAY!"

Oh boy, we we're gonna go to school! Dad has been talking to us a lot about it, but now we actually get to go!

This is gonna be fun...
