Katniss P.O.V
We are just pulling up into school. Whoa! This place is HUGE! We get out the car and Peeta takes my hand. Sparks immediately fly through my body. He leads me through the crowd of people lingering in the hallways, talking to their friends. He gracefully swerves through students until we reach the Student Office. I don't want him to let go of my hand, and surprisingly, he doesn't. We stand there, hand in hand while a lady with very long, straight, grey hair finds my files. I think her name was Ms. Coin, she is the vice principle. She hands me my file and I take it with me free hand and walk away with Peeta. I open it up and find my locker number, Locker 475, and I look at my schedule for today
Period 1: Languages
Period 2: Art
Lunch
Period 3: Science
Period 4: Geography
I ask Peeta what he has today and it turns out we have the same lessons. I look at his schedule and we have the same homeroom and our lockers are 2 down from each other. At least I know I have a friend.
As we walk towards homeroom, hand in hand, a pretty red headed girl comes up to and squeals." OMG! Am I dreaming or is Peeta Mellark actually holding a girls hand!!"
"Nice to see you too, Annie" So that's her name. Annie
Annie P.O.V
I cant actually believe it. Peeta is holding a girls hand. He has never done that before, in fact he hasn't ever had a girlfriend at this school before. He told me it was because he had a crush on a girl at his old school, and that he probably wouldn't feel the same way about another girl ever again. I think her name was Catnip.
" So, Peeta, are you going to introduce your girlfriend or just stand there like a statue with very blushed cheeks?"
"Annie, this isn't my girlfriend. This is my best friend from back home. Her name is Katniss."
I just want to let out a scream. That's Peeta's middle school crush. I have to find out more details.
Peeta P.O.V
Annie knows about my crush on Katniss. I'm just really worried about what she is going to say or do. Because as much as I love Annie - as a friend - she can say or do the wrong things at the wrong times. Like when she blurted out to Clove that Cato liked her. Yes, Clove liked Cato as well and they ended up together, but Cato had a big plan that he was going to surprise Clove with. When the bell went, we all walked into homeroom together. Katniss and I still are still holding hands. I never want this moment to end, but thats when Delly Cartwright turned up.
