"Dr. William Scott. Nice to meet you Miss..." 

"Evergreen. Pierce Evergreen. Nice to meet you Dr. Scott." They shook hands again. 

"So lets get started... cardiology... we are actually going to be working with some kids this morning. Then I will introduce you to Mr. Hobbs. You've met Nurse Jenner, I'll introduce you to the other staff in this floor..."

Dr. Scott was really nice. He introduced her to the nursing staff, which included mostly women. Most of them had envious looks on the fake happy faces at the way Dr. Scott introduced Pierce around. Dr. Pierce Evergreen. They did not venture that day into the third or first floors.

Together they did some work, and some minor procedures that Dr. Scott had to do. She was his only intern. 

"I don't usually have interns, its Dr. Hammer who does this sort of stuff. But he is swamped with other doctors on the second and third floors. Apparently our hospital is in great demand for interns. You were our only applicant for cardiology, which I happen to be really good at. Everyone is in endocrinology, surgeons or pediatrics." They were waiting in line for lunch. The cafeteria was filled with nurses, doctors, and visitors. 

"Awesome. It makes me feels special. Are the grilled cheese any good?"

"They happen to be one of their specialities. I recommend the chicken soup to go with it. " He flashed her what she thought of as his signature smile, reaching his eyes. 

Her first day was smooth, she had the double shift, and had to stay until eight, with an hour break in between sometime during the day. 

She arrived home to find the place exactly like she found it. Henry and Dante were used to her leaving them alone for long periods of time. Plus she had gotten Charlie to come check on them during the day.  She came home, took a shower, and fell into a dreamless sleep. Her alarm woke her up at six. 

At six-oh-five, Dante started licking her face.

At six-forty, she was running out the door with  Dante and Henry, on her way to picking up Charlie. 

She had breakfast at her mom's, and was in time to dropping off Charlie at seven twenty. 

"School starts at seven thirty for you?" She asked while speeding down the road.

"Seven forty-five,because we are a private school. They say good habits... something something or the other...usually I like to get there ten minutes before so that I can talk to Michael, Isaiah, and Sam. They're my homies." He said while petting Dante, who was riding back with him, Henry was riding shoot gun. 

"Oh really, you are all gangaster you've got homies? Where did you learn that word anyway?"

"TV." He responded instantly. 

"Anyway, Michael's uncles is like gonna be the Alpha or something like that, because Michael's uncle's dad is stepping down. So like his grandpa is stepping down. And then, and then... there is gonna be this huge party!  But like, I don't even know if they are gonna make the party, because he can't be Alpha with out a mate. So is like so sad for him and stuff. I think he is gonna get married. Oh Pierce! You should marry Michael's uncle! It would be like so cool! Then we could get back our status-thingy Emma is always winning about. She is like 'oh dad, if only we hadn't moved, you would be Alpha now. Then we wouldn't have all this problems with the council and hunters, safety and blah blah blah...' she is so annoying!"

"Is that how you think Emma sounds?" Pierce said grinning at her little brother. 

"No, when she whines she sounds like a squealing monkey or something... hahaha." He was having a giggling episode.
