I have a couple things to say first before this chapter starts. It is a fast moving chapter and it skips ahead in time a lot. I didn't know how to fill in all that empty space without it getting boring and repetitive. It's kind of short, I seriously thought it was longer as I was writing it, but it's only like 4 pages on Microsoft Word. I'm sorry it took so long to write this. I didn't do anything all summer, but I still didn't make time to write much. Today is the first day of school so I'll be busier but I like to write before bed and so I'll be getting into bed earlier so I might have time to write then. Ok I'm just rambling now so here's the chapter.

Chapter 17

It had been four weeks since we returned home after our tour in America. I had just arrived at the studio to start rehearsing for the day. When I entered the room I saw the five guys, Scooter, and a guy I didn’t recognize. They were huddled in a circle whispering.

Nathan looked upset, “But what’s going to happen to her?”

The one I didn’t know replied, “Who cares? She can find something else.”

Nathan’s face reddened in anger, “I care!”

Scooter patted his back, “Don’t worry, I’ll give her a job. She’s wildly talented, she could easily produce her own album.”

“I hope you sign her on soon. Losing this will be devastating for her,” Siva said.

“It will be for all of us, mate,” Jay said, eyes downcast.

“I’ll do it right away, there’s no sense waiting. We can get to work on an album immediately. I’ll get her with the writers and we can start working on songs today,” Scooter smiled, obviously proud of himself.

“We’ll still get to see her a lot, won’t we?” Max asked.

“Of course we will. We can invite her to hang out with us all the time!” Tom said, grinning, “Olive adores her, I’m sure she wouldn’t object.”

I chose then to walk up, “What are you all chatting about?”

They all jumped apart as if they were caught in the act of robbery. “We were talking about you, actually,” Scooter said.

Nathan hugged me, “This is Murray, our old guitarist. He’s healed and can play guitar again, so that means that your contract has been fulfilled,” he sighed, “You aren’t our guitarist anymore.”

My mouth dropped and tears filled my eyes, “But, what will I do?”

Scooter pulled out a stack of papers, “I’ve prepared another contract. I’d like to sign you on as a soloist. You could sing and play your own guitar. We could start to work today on an album, if you’d like. And you could still see the Wanted guys whenever you’d like.”
