Chapter 24 - The Final Chapter

I feel terrible that I never finished this, I don't really know what happened and why I stopped. I had planned a couple more chapters, but for the sake of finishing the story I am going to put them all in this one. I'm sorry to everyone I left hanging a year ago when I stopped writing.

Chapter 24

Not long after the day at the fair we had planned our wedding, and today was the day. I turned to my mother to see her crying, "This time is different, I can tell. You really love Nathan."

I nodded, tears welling up in my eyes. With my father by my side and the music playing, I began my walk down the aisle. I looked around to all my friends and family, smiling happily. My gaze turned forward to see Tom, Olive, Jay, Liz, my brother, and his girlfriend all walking ahead of me. Finally, my eyes landed on Nathan. His eyes were shining and his hair was slicked back. He looked spiffy in his tux, but, as always, was wearing chucks. I smiled down at my matching pair.

After reaching the altar, the rest was a blur until I heard 'you may kiss the bride' and felt Nathan's lips on mine. This was unlike any other kiss, because this time, I was his wife and this kiss would mean our happiness together forever.

Life married to Nathan was a dream, actually, it was better than a dream because it was one I would never wake up from. We had been through so much together and would go through a lot more. We fought at times, but every couple did. Our love for one another was unwavering and it grew with each day.

*two years later*

It had been a long and painful night. Nathan had deep bags under his eyes from lack of sleep. My hair was still matted from where it had been plastered to my head with sweat and I still wore my hospital gown. But I couldn't help but think that it was all worth it. Nathan and I had just embarked on a new journey. I smiled contentedly in his arms and gazed down at our new baby, Cassidy Lauren Sykes.

At long last, it is the end! Again I'm so sorry it took so long and this chapter is crap but at least the story is finally complete!
