"Anastacia's POV"

"Ma'am, your meeting with the board members is already set. Kayo nalang po ang hinihintay."

I'm currently at my office and scanning my presentation for the new project that I would be proposing.

"Okay , I'm going in a minute. Pakidistribute nalang ang mga hard copy ng presentation sa mga board members."

"Yes ma'am"

Jen answered and proceed to the conference room.

I'm already preparing myself to attend the meeting.

I entered the conference room and the board members including Dane glance at me as I walk in front of them.

Mr.Herbert del Castillo is one of the stock holders of our company, since we're planning to merge soon, he will have 50% share on our company, and I will also have 50% share on their company vise versa. So dahil nasa Cebu pa si Mr.del Castillo, si Dane muna ang temporary na aatend ng mga appointments, meeting etc. ng kanyang dad.

Well, it's really his job since he is the Vice President of their company.

"Good Morning ladies and gentlemen."

I greeted them and they greet me back. Napadako ang tingin ko kay Dane, he waved at me and smile sweetly. I smiled back and started my presentation.

Dane and I became good friends after our first encounter in the restaurant where in I became so emotional in front of him. Everyday kaming nagkikita sa office dahil madalas na nandito siya dahil sa pagmemerge ng compaya namin.

We became so comfortable with each other specially now that we are working together. But I'm keeping my distance with him. Well he's kind, a gentleman and very handsome.

Hindi naman pala siya mayabang gaya ng first impression ko sakanya nung muntik na kaming magkabanggaan.

I started my presentation immediately.

The board members are listening intently and asking questions on some parts of the proposal.

I'm discussing the expansion of our malls, luxurious hotels and restaurants here in Asia. And next month, we are going to close a deal in Singapore so that we can start building the ideal mall, luxurious hotels and restaurants.

Napapadako ang mga mata ko kay Dane habang nag sasalita ako sa harapan.

He's looking at me with pride in his eyes. Parang amaze na amaze siya sa mga pinag sasabi ko sa harap.

So after an hour,the proposal was approved my the board members and agreed with the incoming plans.

I dismissed them and they leave the room except Dane, nagpaiwan siya sa conference room.

And it looks like may sasabihin siya sakin kaya nagpaiwan na din ako.

Nakangiti siyang lumapit at inabot ang kamay niya sakin.

"Congratulations Ms.Jordan, that was an amazing proposal. Hindi nako magtataka kung bakit lumalago ng lumalago ang companya mo because you're a very smart and hardworking woman."

Nakipag kamayan ako sakanya at ginantihan ng ngiti.

"Thank you Mr.del Castillo, I'm just doing my best for my company."

"That's great. Anyway Anna, my dad arrived this morning from Cebu. And he ask me to invite you for a dinner tonight at our place. I think he's going to discuss the conditions about the merging of our companies."

I was so happy of what Dane told me.

"Oh! That's great! Yes I will be there tonight."

"Okay Ms.Jordan, see you tonight then. Oh,.. I need to go. I still have a meeting on an hour. I wish I can invite you for lunch today but I can't cancel my meeting with my client."

I was a little bit shocked of what he just said.

"Don't worry it's fine, See you tonight Mr.del Castillo."

Agpaalam na si Dane at masaya akong bumalik sa office ko.

Finally, magmemerge na ang kompanya namin sa Zec's Group of Companies.

Napaka halaga ng merging na ito, because Zec's Group of Companies have a lot of branches in Europe, and on the other hand, our company is focused here in Asia. If our Company would finally merged with them, we can easily have different investors all over the world.
Lalakas ang hatak ng mga cliente namin sa ibat ibang panig ng bansa.

And soon, we want to be the most competitive Company in the World.

I know it's to much for a goal but nothing is impossible if we're going to work hard for it.

I called my personal assistant, Cassandra, to prepare for my best dress tonight.

I continue my paper works in the office that afternoon when my intercom buzz.

It's Jen, my secretary.

"Ma'am, someone is looking for you. She said she's a dear friend of yours."

I was confused of what my secretary said.

Dear friend if mine? Well, I have a lot of friends. But I have two best of friends.

Sophia and Eleine.
They are my childhood friends. Sophia is working for me as the interior designer of our malls, luxurious hotels and restaurants. Hindi kami masyadong nagkikita dahil king saan ang sight ng pinapagawang mall, hotel o restaurant ay doon siya nadedestino. Pero we always talk to each other especially when I want to ask her how was the project is going on and sometimes if we're free, nagbibonding na man din kami.

Eleine on the other hand, is in Paris. She's working there as a fashion designer. Almost three years na siyang hindi nagbabakasyon dito sa Pilipinas. Nag ee-mail din naman siya samin but sometimes mejo nawawalan kami ng komunikasyon dahil na din siguro sa nga trabaho namin.

I stopped scanning the papers in frontof me and look at the intercom. Tinanong ko si Jen kung ano ang pangalan ng naghahanap sa akin.

"It's Eleine Maxwell ma'am."

Jen answered and I was so shocked and at the same time very happy that my best friend is here!

"Send her in Jen."

What a surprise...
