A week passed and Bianca's schedule started getting crazy. She decided to initialize the renovation and design of their restaurant as soon as she got the keys of the place.
"It was a pleasure doing business with you, Mr. Lee. I'll send you an invite to our opening." Bianca said as she shook the hand of the former owner of the building.
"The pleasure is all mine, chef. I'll look forward to that invite." He responded. The plastered smile on her face did not change since she left her apartment in the morning. It even grew to a wider smile as she took down the "For Sale" sign in front of the building.
The exhilarating feeling of finally making a long time dream come true is beyond words for her. This is really it, B! Your dream coming to life! She said to thought to herself.
She dug out the three rusty keys, from her pocket and played with them. Mr. Lee gave her these last night during their meeting. She moved a few steps back to get a full view of the facade. Wow!
She took out her phone and snapped a few pictures.Bianca held her breath as she proceeded with unlocking the door to see what was needed to be done with the interiors, only to gasp as soon as she saw how big the place was inside. She went on to inspect the place after a few minutes of just staring.
The lights are working, that's good. She murmured as she switched the lights on. She cracked open a few windows. The windows are fine.
Mr. Lee is right though; this place still needs a lot of work. She said as she looked around.
Let's check out our playground! She said to herself excitedly as she walked towards the kitchen.
Spacious, check. Good ventilation, check. Walk in freezer, check. The rest have to be changed.Bianca started making a checklist in her mind.
I need to contact the architect and construction people.
Start visiting furniture stores.
Lighting fixtures.
I don't think we need an interior designer. I got this! She was fully confident about it.After she was done familiarizing herself with their soon-to-be-restaurant, she stepped out and locked the door behind her. She stood in front of the building and let her creative imagination run.
"Beeeeeeeeeep!" A loud sound snatched her wandering thought back to earth.
"What the hell?!" She shouted turning to where the sound came from.
She noticed that she was still standing in the middle of the street. She looked at the sky and noticed that it is already dark outside.
How long was I spacing out? She asked herself.
She looked at her wrist watch and it read 6:30pm. Wow! It's already late. She realized.
She looked at the street and saw that the lights are already switched on.
"Beeeeeeeeep!" Another deafening sound. She looked to her left and a big white coaster van is honking her ears away.
She jumped out of the way immediately and bowed in apology although she wanted so much to curse at the driver."Biancs? Is that you?" A familiar voice called out to her as she was about to turn around and head to the main road. She turned right back to find out who the familiar voice belongs to. She had to squint a few times before seeing the guy's face clearly who was now just a few feet away from her.
"Min Yoongi?" She asked still unsure.
"Yep! Are you okay?" He asked as the rest of the boys approached them.
"See! I knew it was her!" Jungkook shouted. "You owe me a caramel macchiatto, Jimin!" He continued.
"Hey, Biancs!" The rest of the boys greeted.
"Are you lost, Andrea?" Taehyung asked.
"What are you guys doing here?" Bianca managed to ask still oblivious.
"Well, this is where our agency is." Namjoon said pointing towards the tall gray building which was the fourth building from their soon-to-be-restaurant. Bianca squinted one more time and read the building directory outside, Big Hit Entertainment. Oh so this is where their agency is.
"Uhmm..." She started. "Not lost." Looking at Taehyung. "I'm fine." Smiling at Yoongi.
"What am I doing here? Looking at the space where my best friends and I would be opening our restaurant." She explained and pointed to the closed dark building space in front of them.
"Cool! We'll be neighbors here too!" Jimin said excitedly.
"What will you serve?" Jin asked.
"Well, that remains to be finalized at this point but, we are looking at a fusion of cuisines from different countries. Our own versions of course and we'll also serve what has been considered people's life support, coffee." She said with sparkling eyes as if in a dream.
"Wow! It sounded so magical the way you said it. I can't wait to hang out there and try the food!" Hoseok said with a bright smile.
"Oh yeah, definitely. I'll send you guys an invite when we schedule the opening." She responded. "For now I have to get the renovations and interior design done first." She continued with a laugh. "It's getting pretty late. I better get going. See you guys around!" She said and waved at the boys.
