Alright, so I wrote this chapter a while ago, and I'll admit that it's a bit slow at first. It does get better though, I promise. :)
“Svegliati, Corinna! Wake up, already!”
There was a knock at the door and I stirred from my sleep. I slowly sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. The clock on the nightstand read 8:15. Wait, that can't be right. The Hogwarts Express leaves King's Cross station at 8:30. Not waiting for a second knock, I jumped out of bed and dove for the bathroom. With fifteen minutes to spare, I speedily brushed my teeth, brushed my hair and washed my face. I murmured a spell, sending my toiletries into my suitcase as I ran to the closet.
Luckily, I had already picked out my clothes the day before. I pulled on a black T-shirt with a purple crescent moon on it, wriggled into some purple skinny jeans, put on some black converse, and topped off the ensemble with a fistful of colourful jelly bracelets. In my rush to get ready, I hadn't noticed my owl, Allegra, fluttering anxiously in her cage.
I walked over to her and held out my hand, she nibbled it through the cage.
“Nervous for your first day, Allegra?” I asked, momentarily forgetting my limited time.
Allegra just cooed and fidgeted about.
I can see she's nervous too. I thought. I wonder if they'll accept me there. I am a bit different, after all. Well, either way, I'm not changing for anyone. If fitting in requires me to be normal and dull, then I'd much rather stand out.
“Alright, Allegra. It's time to begin our new lives.” I gently picked up her cage and walked over to my bed. I placed my sketchbook in my suitcase, zipped it closed, and thundered down the stairs.

At Platform Nine and Three Quarters, I turned to my tearful mother.
“Oh, my darling. Do be careful. Write us as soon as you get settled,” she sniffled and wrapped me in a hug.
“Yes, of course. I've gotta go now!” I pulled out of her grasp and started forward.
As I stepped up onto the train, my father called ”Have fun, Snow White!”
I grinned back at him, gave a wave, and stepped inside. Father always called me Snow White because of my fair complexion. It was like our own little private joke. As the train pulled out of the station, I walked along, looking for a compartment to sit in. However, to my disappointment, they all seemed to be full.
“That's what you get for sleeping in,” I muttered to myself.
While walking through the narrow aisle, I hadn't really been paying attention. A minute later, I collided with someone. We both tumbled to the floor, me landing on top of him. Without even looking, I knew it was a him because I could feel his hard abs beneath me.
“Hey, watch where you're going,” the boy snarled.
I sat up and looked at him indignantly.
“Excuse me, but you weren't looking where you were going either or else you would've seen me coming.”
He had platinum blonde hair and eyes the color of frosted glass. I had to admit, he was handsome. I must have been staring, because he looked up at me and smirked.
“As much as you seem to be enjoying this, mind getting off of me?”
My cheeks burned as I scrambled to my feet. He was handsome, but full of himself, that much was obvious.
“Well,” he sighed, theatrically. “Are you going to introduce yourself so I can be on my way?”
I narrowed my eyes, but stuck out my hand. “Corinna Sinistra.”
He took my hand, but instead of shaking it, he put it to his lips, staring intently into my eyes.
“Draco Malfoy, Prince of Slytherin,” he said, his voice like silk.
Oh my.. I shivered, causing him to smirk again. I yanked my hand away from him and grabbed my suitcase.
“See you later, Sinistra.”
But before I could turn around to sneer at him, he was gone.
Eventually, I came to a compartment with what appeared to be three people in it. I slid open the door and they all looked up. There was a girl with bushy brown hair who was reading a book, a boy with bright orange hair, and a boy with dark brown hair who had a lightening bolt shaped scar on his forehead and a pair of glasses perched on his nose. I smiled brightly.
“Excuse me, can I sit with you? Everywhere else seems to be full.”
The boy with the dark hair answered me, returning my smile. “Yeah, okay.” I took the chair next to him, setting down my suitcase. The girl set down her book and grinned.
“Hi, I'm Hermione Granger. This is Ron Weasley,” she said, pointing to the orange haired boy beside her.
“And that's – “POTTER,” came a menacing voice as the door to the compartment slid open.
“How dare you set loose a batch of Decoy Detonators in the Slytherin compartments!”
I realized that the voice belonged to none other than Draco Malfoy. I sighed, audibly. The last person I had hoped to see. Beside me, Harry and Ron were trying to suppress laughter, while Hermione just shook her head. I looked up at Draco and he caught my gaze.
“Hey Sinistra, wanna ditch these losers and come sit with me?”
I rolled my eyes.
“As appealing as that sounds, Malfoy, I think I'll pass,” I deadpanned, my voice dripping sarcasm.
“Your funeral,” he replied, winking at me. “Oh, and Potter? You'll pay for this.”
Slamming the compartment door shut, he left.
Ron scowled, shaking his head. “He's a git, that one.”
I mumbled in agreement.
“As I was saying before we were so rudely bombarded,” Hermione continued, “That's Harry Potter. I don't think I've seen you before, are you a transfer?”
I nodded my head. “Yeah, I'm Corinna Sinistra. I'm transferring from a small all girls school in Italy. I'll be in year five, I think.”
Ron smiled, “Well, welcome to Hogwarts, Corinna.”
