A/N : Hey there, here's the second chapter. ^^ I've got a fair amount of chapters already written, so I'll try to publish as many of those as possible. Hope you enjoy them.
After changing into our robes and arriving at Hogwarts, we all parted ways. I had to follow Hagrid, a mountain of a man, to the boats with the first years because I needed to be sorted. Hogwarts Castle was far larger than my school in Italy, and I was beginning to like it already. The first years and I followed an elderly woman, Professor McGonagall, through to the Great Hall.
“Now, when I call your name, you will step forward to be sorted,” she said, holding a list.
I suddenly began to feel nervous. There were hundreds of students sitting at long, wood tables, staring blankly at Professor McGonagall. I saw Harry, Ron, and Hermione wave to me from the Gryffindor table. I smiled at them.
“Since we have a 5th year transfer from Italy, Corinna Sinistra, you shall go first.”
I blushed slightly and walked up to the front. Professor McGonagall placed the sorting hat on my head and it began to speak.
“Well, well. Sinistra, eh? Haven't heard that name in a while. You're quite wise, so maybe Ravenclaw? Gryffindor, I thought. Oh, Gryffindor, you say? Well, you are quite brave and strong willed. Then again, you are quite the fiery one. You're also a Pureblood, correct?. Hmm, make it...SLYTHERIN!”
I looked up to see the far table at the end, green clad, hooting and hollering. As my eyes met Draco Malfoy's, my stomach dropped. I stood up, trudged over to the Slytherin table, and sat at the very end. This isn't happening to me. What will mother and father think? I placed my head in my hands, grumbling.
“You know, we aren't that bad,” Draco had appeared beside me on the bench.
“Actually Malfoy, if everyone is as big of a jerk as you are, then yes, you really are all that bad. I'd rather pitch myself off of the Leaning Tower of Pisa than be a Slytherin, bastardo. So stick that in your Pumpkin juice and suck it!' I screamed at him.
He looked slightly taken aback, furrowing his brow, he asked, “The leaning Tower of what?”
I just rolled my eyes, waiting for the night to be over.

Finally, everyone was sorted and we all headed off to our common rooms. I trailed behind the Slytherin pack by about 5 feet, following them reluctantly to the dungeons. Upon reaching a giant portrait, someone said 'Noctem Aeternam' and the portrait swung open to reveal our common room. Before anyone could say a word to me, I scrambled down the stairs to the girls' dorm. I really wasn't in much of a mood for a conversation, I just wanted to unpack.
I opened my suitcase and took out my collection of converse. Light Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Purple, and Black, lining them up along my bed. I took out my Ipod, gave up unpacking, shoved my ear buds in my ears, sat on my bed and drew the curtain around me. I sat like that for a while, at least until I was sure everyone was asleep. Now it was time to let my emotions run wild.
Grabbing my sketchbook, my Ipod, and some Charcoals, I tiptoed to the common room. Ah, sweet alone time. Taking a seat on a couch, I unplugged my ear buds so I could listen to my music on speaker. I opened to a new, crisp page and grabbed some charcoal. I didn't even bother to plan out my drawing, I decided to freehand it. Strong, black lines began to form on the page and I smudged them with my index finger. Drawing was my own personal form of therapy. When things got emotional or overwhelming, I grabbed my sketchbook.
Soon, the outline of a leafless tree compromised in the middle of my paper. I drew in the spindly branches, smudging as I went. I then decided to add the silhouette of a girl sitting against the tree. Ten minutes later, I admired my finished work.
My head jerked up as the portrait swung open and in walked Draco Malfoy. He wore a white button up shirt and black slacks. Why must he be so infuriatingly handsome? My eyes widened as he begun to unbutton his shirt in the middle of the common room. He turned when he heard my Ipod.
“Oh, hey Sinistra,” he said, walking over.
“Hey, Malfoy,” I murmured.
He sat on the chair opposite me, looking at my Ipod quizzically.
“What is that thing?” he asked, curiously.
I set my sketchbook down and picked up my Ipod, placing it on the table in front of him.
“It's a music player. My parents bought it for me,” I explained.
“Oh, I see. Hey, you don't mind, do you? It's kind of warm.” he said, slipping his shirt off entirely.
Oh, Mio Dio. He had a Six Pack and huge biceps. Don't stare, Corinna!
“Uh..no.” I stammered, slightly taken aback.
However, he caught me glancing at his chest.
“Like what you see?” he asked, giving me his signature smirk.
“Don't flatter yourself, Malfoy,” I sneered, got up, and walked to my dorm.
What the hell was that? What's he playing at? If he thinks I'm just going to fall into his arms, I've got news for him. I'm not that kind of girl.
Draco's p.o.v
After she left, I reclined on the couch. 'Don't flatter yourself,' who does she think she is? She's just another Slytherin Slut, no one special. If that had been any other girl, they would have thought they'd died and gone to heaven. Well, Sinistra, you want to cop an attitude? Two can play at that game.
Corinna's P.o.v
I decided to write to my parents before I turned in for the night. I knew mother would be worried if I didn't.
Dear Mother and Father,
I have arrived safe and sound at Hogwarts. Things have been... interesting, to say the least. I got sorted into the Slytherin house. I'Im not very happy about it, but I can cope. Don't worry about me. Well, I'm off to bed now. Write back to me soon! Te voglio bene.
- Corinna,
I walked over to Allegra's cage and let her out.
“Take this to Mother and Father, Allegra. Thank you,” I whispered and attached the note to her talons.
With a flutter of wings, Allegra swooped out the window and flew through the night sky. I sighed, changed into my pyjamas and went to bed.
Translations:
Bastardo: I'm sure you can figure this one out.
