A/N: Here's chapter three. :)

I awoke to the sun shining in my eyes. I groaned and put my pillow over my head. If you hadn't figured it out yet, I'm no morning person. In fact, sometimes I joke about being nocturnal, since it seems like 10pm is when I get my energy surge. But today was the the day we got our timetables for tomorrow, so I did have to get up.

With a sigh, I rolled off my bed and glanced at my clock. 5:00. It's 5:00AM?! Well, I'm up now, aren't I? If I go back to sleep now, I'll sleep all day. At least I can shower without being interrupted.

I rustled through my bag for what I needed and tiptoed to the bathroom. The shower felt very relaxing, calming even. I took my time getting ready since I had at least a half hour before anyone woke up. I put on a yellow tank top with a black kiss mark on it, some jean shorts, and my yellow converse. You can call my style odd, but at least I color coordinate.

I decided to go with a hairstyle I'd seen in one of the muggle magazines I'd brought from home. I braided my bangs off to the side and secured them with a black elastic. Next, I plugged in my hair curler. Yeah, I know I could probably conjure up a spell to curl my hair, but do you know how long it would take to get it the way I wanted? Not to mention, it would probably burn my hair to a crisp.

I picked up my curling iron and proceeded to curl my long red hair into loose curls. I got half of my hair done when someone walked into the bathroom. It was a short girl with shoulder length brown hair.

“Hi, I'm Pansy, Pansy Parkinson.”

Her perky voice grated on my nerves, but it was too early and I wasn't in the mood for a fight.

“Hey, I'm Corinna Sinistra,” I said, and I continued curling my hair.

“I know! I was there when you were sorted. I was going to introduce myself then, but you looked like you wanted to be left alone. Cute hair, by the way,” she shrilled, and picked up her tooth brush.

That's because I did want to be alone. It's a good thing you didn't introduce yourself then because I probably would've blown your head off.

“Thanks,” I smile, admiring it in the mirror.

“Well, I'm going to head down to breakfast,” I said, leaving quickly to avoid further conversation.

After running up to the common room, I saw that no one else was awake. Well, Hogwarts, ready or not, here I come. I confidently strode over to the portrait, only to have it swing back and hit me in the face.

Holy Hippogriff that hurt. And who opened the damn door? Whoever it is, they clearly find this hilarious. I rubbed my forehead and looked up to see who was laughing at me. Of course, why wouldn't it be him?

Draco Malfoy stood before me, chuckling. He had a skinny blonde latched onto his arm, kissing his neck.

“Malfoy, sei un coglione,” I scowled and felt a bump forming on my forehead.

“Sorry, Sinistra, didn't see you there.” He managed to stop chuckling, smirked, and held a hand out to me.

That's it. I've had enough of Mr. Slytherin Prince and his cockiness. He will NOT ruin my day.

I grabbed his hand and yanked it with all my might, pulling him onto the floor next to me. The blonde bimbo on his arm stumbled and glared at me.

I stood up, gave him a smirk of my own and said, “I refuse to let you ruin my day, Malfoy. Now, I'm outta here, before you and Barbie over there start going at it. I'd like to keep the contents of my stomach intact.”

Head held high, I turned on my heel and stepped into the hallway to begin my day.

When I entered the Great Hall for breakfast, it was pretty much deserted. I figured it was because of the time. The Slytherin table was completely empty, but I spotted Hermione at the Gryffindor table, reading a newspaper by herself.

I smiled, walked over, and sat across from her. Sensing that someone had sat down, she looked up from her newspaper, but she had a slight frown on.

“Oh...good morning, Corinna. What are you doing at the Gryffindor table?” she asked, giving me a confused look.

“You honestly think I'd rather sit with those snakes?” I said, pointing in the direction of my house table. “Besides, no one is even here yet. I can leave if you want me to,” I sighed, moving to stand up.

“Oh, no! Don't leave,” she said quickly, waving me to sit down. “It's just that Slytherin and Gryffindor are rivals and usually they only associate with us when they have to. The Slytherins will probably object to you sitting here,” she said, sadly.

“Well, you know what I think about that? They can screw off because I'm eating breakfast with my friends. Anyways, how are you?”

Hermione was about to respond when Malfoy walked past.

“Good morning, Mudblood,” he sneered.

My blood began to boil and I was pretty sure I turned red with fury. This is IT. I'll kill him myself, if I have to. It's one thing to be rude to me, but when it comes to my friends, watch out.

The hall had begun to fill up, but it was still half empty. I jumped up onto the bench, stood on the table, and glared at him.

“MALFOY. Take.It.Back. Now,” I snarled, eyes blazing.

“Corinna, he isn't worth it. Never mind him, come down from there before you get in trouble!” Hermione pleaded with me, tugging on my leg.

“Just what are you going to do about it, Sinistra?he folded his arms and waited.

I jumped from the table onto his back and began to punch him. However, it seemed as though he couldn't even feel it, he just stood there with me on his back.

“Miss Sinistra, should I even ask why you are beating Mister Malfoy senseless?” came a deep, monotone voice.

I looked up to see Snape standing in front of me, a stack of timetables in his hands. He looked less than enthralled.

“He called my friend a Mudblood. I really don't think - DETENTION, Miss Sinistra. Tonight after dinner in my office, Mister Malfoy will supervise,” he said, handing Malfoy two timetables.

“Mister Malfoy, would you mind escorting Miss Sinistra to the Slytherin Common room? I don't want any more trouble.” Looking bored, he turned and walked away.

“Well,”Malfoy said, detaching me from his back. “We can do this civilly or I can take you kicking and screaming on my shoulder. What'll it be?” he looked at me, no expression on his face.

“Civilly, please,” I sighed, defeated.

Hermione looked at me with a sympathetic smile. She mouthed “I'm Sorry, but thank you.” I just smiled back at her and turned to walk away, but Draco grabbed my wrist.

“Can I help you?” I asked him, wrenching my wrist from his grasp.

“Snape asked me to escort you. So, I will escort you.” He held out his arm to me.

“You can't be serious, Malfoy,” I said, but a look into his eyes told me he was.

“Fine, then.” I threaded my arm through his and we left the Great hall.

As we walked through the halls, I noticed quite a few people staring at us. They did have the decency to look away when I returned their gaze with a glare, though.

Well, my first day isn't going anything like I planned. I suppose I'll just have to roll with it.
