After Draco and I got back, I had excused myself to wrap and send my Christmas presents. I had no idea where mother and father were staying, so I sent their presents to our house, hoping that they'd get to them eventually. After sending off multiple owls to deliver my presents, I flopped onto my bed, sighed contentedly and closed my eyes.

With any luck, I could just relax for a few hours until dinner. Maybe I could just curl up with my Ipod and take a little nap. Hell, after the excitement I've had in the last few days, I think I deserve a little me time.

I opened my eyes to find Draco standing over me, looking mildly amused. I proceeded to scream and fall off the bed.

“For Christ sake, Draco, don't scare me like that! I didn't even hear you come in!” I exclaimed, putting a hand to my chest.

He smirked, offering me his hand. I let him help me to my feet and looked at him crossly.

“I did knock,” he shrugged, “I was wondering if you'd like to go swimming with me.”

“In case you haven't noticed, it's 20 degrees below freezing,” I replied, putting my hand to his forehead. “Are you sure there isn't anything funny in the water around here?”

“Obviously, we have an Indoor swimming pool,” he rolled his eyes. “The only funny thing around here is you.”

Damn, way to embarrass yourself Cori. Real smooth.

“Of course you do,” I muttered, mentally face-palming myself. “I don't have a bathing suit though, so you're out of luck.”

He simply pointed to the closet and walked back to the door.

“Down the stairs, turn right, go to the end of the hallway, and turn right again. I'll meet you there,” he said over his shoulder, shutting the door behind himself.

I stared blankly at the closed door for a moment, wondering when exactly I had agreed to swimming with him. Shaking my head, I opened the closet and began to sort through the hangers. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but I was both pleased and perplexed with what I found.

I was holding a black, white, and gray plaid bikini with a strapless bandeau top. Truthfully, I loved it, but at the same time, I was skeptical about wearing it to go swimming with Draco. I'd never really shown this much skin around a boy before. I know what you're thinking, 'it's just a bikini, Corinna, grow up!' I'm just self conscious, I guess.

I changed into the swimsuit and walked over to my floor length mirror. My star shaped belly button piercing sparkled in the light as I examined my reflection. I know, why get your navel pierced if you aren't even going to show it off? I'm just odd that way. My stomach knotted with nerves, and I inhaled deeply. I grabbed a towel from my bathroom and wrapped it around myself, took a last glance in the mirror, and headed down to the pool.

When I padded into the room that held the swimming pool, I saw that Draco was already there, his blond head bobbing in the deep end. I clutched the towel to my body, sitting on the edge of the pool and dipping my feet in. The water was surprisingly warm, not the freezing temperature I had expected.

“Aren't you going to come in?” Draco called, swimming over to me.

I glanced down at my towel shyly, and looked back at him.

He seemed to sense my uneasiness, because he gave me a crooked smile and said,

“You know, when you've got a body that would put swimsuit models to shame, you shouldn't be so self conscious. Besides, it's just me. “

I flushed a light shade of pink at the compliment and slipped my towel off. I slid into the pool with a little splash. The water was only up to my armpits, as it was the shallow end. Draco began to swim back out to the deep end, but stopped and looked at me expectantly.
