She's drowning
And I don't know how to save her
I try to hold on
Show her she means something
Pull her out of the black,
Inky tar,
That holds her down
Engulfs her.
But it's hard
To keep a hold.
I don't think I'm strong enough,
I don't think I'm helping,
So I think of how she
Makes me laugh,
And makes me happy,
And how music sounds better
When she's dancing and singing along,
And how I can just be
When I'm with her
No façade
Because she's my friend
And I care about her
And I hope that's enough
To help pull her through
I can't let her drown.
