Chapter 3

I quickly got up and looked at my Hunter, "I have to go, Darren called." I told him.
He also stood up. "Ok, I'll walk you to your car." He said and smiled
I nodded and we started walking to the parking lot. As we were walking noting really happened.

We finally got to my car and I stood against it.
"Well.. Thanks for waking me to my car." I told him
He smirked and nodded.
I opened the door and got in.

I got home and saw Darren against my front door.
I parked the car and got out.

I walked over to Darren.
"Am I late?" I asked and opened the door
He shook his head
"No, not at all." He said
We walked inside and I put my keys on the key holder.
I plopped myself on the couch and turned on the tv.
"So what movie do you wanna watch on Netflix." I asked him, still looking at the screen.
"Uh... How about a scary one.. Like, Crimson Peak" he asked
"Sure." I said and looked up Crimson Peak. I found the movie and put it on.

I cuddled up next to Darren.
He wrapped his arm around me in protection.
I smiled.

"RUUNN!!" I screamed at the screen like it would hear me.
Darren kept laughing at me then he turned off the TV.
I looked at him.
"What'd you do that for?" I asked
He looked at me.
"You were screaming your lungs out. And we still gotta get caught up." He said and smiled.
I looked at the black Tv screen and thinked.
"Well.. What do you wanna catch up on?" I asked him, looking into his eyes.
He stared back at mine.
"Uh.." He said and looked like he couldn't think.
I looked away embarrassed. He smiled and scratched his head, he always scratched his head when he was nervous.
"How about what we did this summer?" I said
He looked at me and smiled once more.
"Sure, what did you do this summer?"
"Well.. I stayed home, helped my mom, but she's always at work." I told him
"You?" I asked
"Hmm.. Well... Was at my dads place for a week. Mom told us we needed to spend some time together but.. Yea..." He told me
I gave him a sad look at laid my head on his shoulder.
"You still hate your dad dont you..." I asked. He nodded.

3 years ago, Darren, his mom
And his dad use to live together when Darren's father abused his mom. Darren got so mad, he couldn't take it anymore so he called the cops on him. He was sent to jail for 2 years and this was the first time he got out. Since then his mom doesn't trust as many people as she used to. Same with Darren.. I feel bad for him.. All those things he's been through..

I quickly look at him and got the most craziest idea..
"Let's bake something."
He chuckles and looks at me.
"W-what...?"
"Let's bake something." I said again
"Like what."
"Uh..." I thought for a second. He gave me his impatient look.
I put my finger on his lips to shush him
"Shush, I'm thinking." I said smiling 
He shook his head.
Then I got it.
"Let's bake a cake!" I said excitingly.
I quickly jumped off the couch and ran toward the kitchen.
I got out  boxed cake from the pantry. I got out the flower and the chocolate.

Darren walks over to me. He leans against the table and smiles.
Then he sneakingly grabs a handful of flower and throws it at me, running away.
My jaw dropped. I stood frozen staring at my opponent.. I quickly grabbed some flower and ran after him.
"Your gonna pay for this!" I say as I'm running for him.
He jumps over the couch and I stop but not fast enough. My body flings itself over the couch and I scream.
Luckily I land on it.
Darren's standing beside me laughing.. I couldn't help but laugh myself. Then I remembered I still had to get him back for what he did. I then take my hand full of flower and splat it right on his face.
I burst out laughing.
He wiped the flower off of his face and wiped it on my t-shirt

Then he burst out laughing because of the serious look I had on my face.
I straightened myself out of the couch and let Darren sit down. He sat down and I looked around the house... There was flower everywhere... I looked at Darren and noticed him staring at me...
"Harper... Why did you lie to me..." He asked
I was confused..
"What?"
"I saw you and Hunter on the Field and you said you where on your way home.."
I looked down at my hands.
"Well.. I'm sorry but I came home right after the call.." I said
"It's ok.." He said and out his arm around me, pulling me closer to him. We sat there looking straight in front of us..
Then the door opened.
Lilly came in and looked at us.
"Wooops, I must be interrupting something..." She looked outside
"They're in the middle of something.." She whispered. I got stood up. What.. Who is she talking to..
Then Hunter, Jason and his crew walked into my house..
"So you and Hunter aren't together... So it is true.. But you two were a cute couple." Jason said
I sighed. "Yep is it true.."
He smirked. "So that means I can take you out."
What the hell... You don't just come into my house and just ask me out.. Who does that?! Oh right.. Jason does.. I said in my head.
Hunter went up to him and slapped him on the shoulder.
"Woah... Not to fast Jase."
Jason looked at Hunter then back at me. He ignored what Hunter said.
"I'll pick you up tonight." He said and turned away with his crew, walking out the door.
Hunter stood for a bit and looked at me sadly, then Jason called for him. Lilly looked at me then squealed.
"Eeeeek! Your going on a date with Jason! The baddest boy in school!" She told me. I nodded and sat Down on the couch next to Darren.
"Your not excited..." She asked
I shook my head.
