I was getting impatient with mother, so I kept nagging her to tell me where we were headed. She kept blowing me off like an annoying insect or something other. Finally we pulled into a long narrow driveway surrounded by tree's and beautiful flowers of every color and size. " mother, what is this place?" I asked as we drove along the driveway. We soon reached a decent sized log cabin, it was in okay condition, it just didn't look to good, the logs weren't even real and the brown paint was faded, the Windows had ugly dark green shutters, and to top it off the roof had leaf patterns all over it. " we are here!" Mother announced," mom I don't want to be here." I said angrily. Mother turned so she was partially facing the back seat where I was seated," this is where we will be spending our summer break!" She squealed." I don't care!" Was my instant response and mom turned around grabbed her stuff and got out of the car, she opened the trunk and revealed a bunch of bags full of Our clothes," well I knew you wouldn't want to come if I told you so... I lied." She said as she brushed through her long thick hair with her skinny fingers. She immediately noticed my annoyed expression," you look angry, slightly annoyed?" She said giving me a sympathetic look." I don't need your sympathy mother." I mumbled as I groggily walked towards the cabin and set my backpack down by the door. I could tell this wasn't gonna be a very good summer break if I spent most of it here. Mother walked in the door after me and had all my clothes in one bag and all of hers in another. She looked happy for a second but as soon as she saw a faded picture of the Grand Canyon on the wall her expression changed and she had this really gloomy look on her face," mother are you okay?" I questioned, but just like she acted at the house she was soon unresponsive to me. " mother I'm tired of this, answer me!" I shouted but she walked into a small room and soon she was locked in her little room. My room was across the living room, right across from mothers room. The rooms were just rooms separated from the house by a door and the doors were in the living room. I decided to see if my room was still the same so I did a little digging around in my room, but soon paused after my hand felt something wooden under the bed and I pulled out a drawer full of photos... The girl I saw in the pictures from the house.
