as the two stood at the front door, the draft seeping through the open entrance swept chills over the girl's body—or was that the presence of the boy in front affecting her?

she was a bit curious as to why he was here a day early but she decided on not asking, since he probably just wanted to surprise her. before she got the chance to ask him into her home, a loud, high-pitched voice echoed through the house.

"hey! who's at the door? you've been there for a while now." the girl heard, "hold up—is it the people bringing my fish?" the voice exclaimed.

the girl smiled at her sister's obsession with fish. the younger  had been truly obsessed with fish ever since the first time she watched nemo with her dad, when she was two. she would waddle around the house with her nemo toy and pretend to be a fish alongside him. it was quite amusing for little V to watch.

"no honey, the person at the door doesn't have your fish." she replied with a teasing eye. she then grabbed finn's wrist and yanked him into the house, "he is your fish!"

the sound of a wooden chair sliding against the ground occurred, making the two near the front door cringe. a little girl with two pigtails of soft strawberry blonde hair, raced through the livingroom door, nearly falling over due to her sock-clad feet moving quickly on top of the smooth floor. her mouth hang slightly ajar when she saw the two teenagers.

"he's not a fish, why are you so silly?" the small girl said with a prominent pout upon her mouth.

"no look, it's finn!" V said as she held her arms out in front of finn.

"but i thought finn was a fish?"

finn bent his legs and rested his behind on the heels of his feet, bouncing slightly to regain balance. "i can be a fish if you want me to be one." finn said with a small grin on his face.

"really? you'll be my fish? does that mean i'll be able to look after you? i've always wanted to do that!"

"well no. you won't need to look after me but yes, i'll be your fish and take you wherever you would like and i can also be your friend if you want."

the older girl chuckled at this, "since when were fish transport?"

finn smirked, looking up at her. "i'm a new type of fish you see, only one of my kind."

"well fish, take me somewhere?" the little girl smiled, clapping at finn.

"of course my dear owner, climb aboard and state your destination!" he said enthusiastically as he twisted around on his toes so the little girl could climb on.

once she was safely one finn's back, he returned to his normal standing position and grinned at the elder, who also held a smile on her face.

"before we leave, do you want to tell me your name kiddo?" he asked.

the older sister sent a nod her way and the excited girl introduced herself. "oh yes, i forgot we never exchanged names! i'm hayley and you are finn, yes?"

"now, what a lovely name! and yes, that's me! where to my lovely hayley?"

hayley pointed to the livingroom door and commanded playfully: "to the living room finny!"
