"Okay, Dad. Whatever." I rolled my eyes before going up the stairwell.

"Poony, I want you back by dinner!" My dad called from the kitchen.

"I heard you the first time!" I called back and entered my room and closed my door and jumped onto my queen size bed. Laying on my stomach, I reached for my gold pink iPhone and snatched it off the charger. I lit it and slid in my code. Pushing my curly hair behind my ear, I checked my messages. I had a spam from one of my bestest friends in whole wide...L.A. I tapped it open and chuckled at all the texts.

I put down my phone and jumped off my bed and went to my closet. I slid open my mirror walk-in closet. My closet was full of dark clothing. I love to wear dark clothes. It really brung out my peachy color. I wanted to change out my school clothes. Today I wore dark jeans, a black crop top and a jean jacket where I buttoned it up to cover my stomach and my casual sandals. I had my hair laid against my back and shoulders.

I changed into purple Adidas track pants, a blue tank top, and slipped into some black converses and slidmy arms in a light knitted jacket that was hung long to my calves. I brushed through my hair in the mirror, pulling it back into a ponytail, I wrapped it up and grabbed my phone and was out the room. I hopped down the stairs and walked into the kicthen where my dad was surprisingly still there.

"You look wonderful, Poony. Are you sure you're going to Kia's?" he joked, not even looking at me.

I smirked. "Dad, you're not looking at me." He turned towards me.

"I don't need to look at you, Poony. I got eyes everywhere. Besides, do I need to look at you to know how beautiful you always are?"

I smiled at his reply, went to him and hugged him around the waist. He made me feel pretty even when he didn't have to.

The smell of cologne filled my nostrils and mind. I smiled against his chest. He was a loving man that my mother left. Only because she couldn't stand how he was away for so long on his business trips. I knew she had affairs when he was away. She told me she loved my father, but couldn't deal with waking up and sleeping alone.
