River's POV:
A yawn escaped my mouth as I stretched trying to wake up. I dug my hand under my pillows, searching for my phone.
"Ha," I exclaimed as I did a victory dance, while still in bed "You son of a biscuit. Tryin' to hide from me huh?"
'You're so weird..." My wolf, Zander, said in my head.
"You do remember that we are the same people right?" I commented. He and I were pretty close, I mean when you have an over opinionative person constantly talking in your head twenty-four seven, you become the same people, and in my case literally.
'Whatever.' I scoffed and got out of bed, shivering at the cool air brushing against my skin. Walking around the room I entered my bathroom and took a quick shower washing of the nasty crap, that somehow gets on your body even if you just lay on the couch all day.
After drying off I wrapped a towel around my hips and trudged back into my dirty bedroom. I bent down and picked up a shirt, bringing it to my face. My nose scrunched up in disgust and I threw the brown t-shirt into the hamper across the room. As I moved on to a couple of other shirts and pants, I did the same to them. Simultaneously cleaning my room, and eventually getting dressed.
I slowly made my way down the stairs leading to the kitchen. I saw Ellie standing there, in front of the stove cooking.
"Whatcha doin'?" I asked as I slid across the island in front of her. She placed her hand over her heart and let out a loud sigh.
"You almost gave me a heart attack." She remarked, as a spatula came and hit me on the side of my head.
"Owww. What was the for?"
"For scaring me." She said as she shrugged. My eyebrows furrowed together, as my bottom lip popped out.
"That was not nice.." I whined like a kid and tried to act serious but a smile cracked across my face, and soon both of us were laughing.
"What are you cooking?" I questioned.
"Eggs and toast."
"Just for you or?" Ellie gave me a look like I was stupid but what I said next cleared things up a bit.
"I don't know about you Ellie, but I'm always hungry so that," I motioned towards her, and the stove, "Is not going to be enough. Not to mention that we are both werewolves, our appetites have increased and our metabolisms have at tripled. So let's make these eggs reproduce shall we." As I finished my lecture I grabbed the rest of the eggs out of my fridge and began cracking them over the pan.
"You're a pain you know that."
"I've been told," I replied as I chuckled.

It was now around eleven thirty and I was sitting next to Ellie on the couch, watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix. She was blowing bubbles with her gum, and her knee was constantly bouncing.
"Are you okay?"
"Me? O-oh yeah, I'm fine." She was stuttering, which was not normal. I was about to ask her another question when she sprung the question, I knew she was dying to find out.
"A-are you going to win this f-fight? I mean are you going to be o-okay?" The thought of her worrying about me warmed my heart, but at the same time, I wanted to make her feel like I was one hundred percent sure I would win. But the truth was I wasn't so, my only option to soothe my worried mate? Make a stupid joke which I was pretty good at.
