In school I used to play with my best friend, Eco Popeye. We had been with each other for four years throughout the school years. And I should say we are always in the same classes. Everyday, me and Eco will play UNO against each other. And I should say I always win.
But one day, Eco and I were spliced up. Mrs Sally (my grade five teacher) told us our classes for grade six.
This was the list of classes:

For the first time in school history, I got split upped from Eco. I was like crying when I saw the list of classes. How could they?! 'Are you okay Drix?' asked someone next to me. It was Eco, 'Yes I am fine,' I replied, wiping of some tears on my face. I looked at him; he seemed to be crying too.
The last day of grade five. Time had past faster then I expected. On that day, we said our goodbyes to everyone in the class. And of course play games (yeah!) The school closed early for the summer holiday that was coming up. Eco and I went to Gloria Jeans (or something) to have some hot chocolate.
'Will you be okay when I go and hangout with new friends?' asked Eco, almost making me blurt out the liquid in my mouth. 'What new friends?' I asked, almost shocked, 'New BFFs?'
'Not really,' he said, 'I mean, it will be hard to play with each other in grade six. Hopefully we will make good friends to play at school. But we will still be BFFs. Remember that.' I nodded. Saying the last sentence makes me know that we will be Friends Forever.
Now that was the past. You may be thinking that I am in the summer holidays now. But that past away. Now I am in grade six in class 6L. And you bet that teacher is the best. But my school life is now harder. For you, making friends are a lot easier then drinking water. It goes like: POOF! But for me it is a lot hard.
I am always shy and probably you all know that. No? Never mind. There's this girl that is so nice to me in class. And she was in my class last year! Yes! Qi Qi! She always have kindness in her heart. And I should say that she showed me that heart a lot. There was this boy that I was really getting along with. His name is Jasper. We sat next to each other all the time. And yes we planned on a play date in my house!
But when Jasper went to a competition in Spain for two weeks. Things began to change. I began to be a loner. The kids in my class didn't asked me to join them. The only kid who plays with me is Qi Qi. I am kind of in love with her.
She used to play with her normal friends. But I guess that she gave up that friendship time for me.
But when she is not around, I felt invisible.
One day when Jasper is still in Spain. I was at home, playing with my Beagle named Rocky. Suddenly the house telephone rang. I answered, 'Hello?'
'Drix! Is that you?' said a very familiar voice, 'You know me!' Ah it was Qi Qi!
'Qi Qi! Why are you calling me?' I asked, 'And how do you know the number to my house phone?!'
'Long story,' came a reply, 'But I want to ask you something.'
'What?!'
'Do you want a play date?'
I was shocked! What?! A girl and a boy on a play date?! I called that a date!
'Well, I have to ask my mum...' I began to say. 'You no need to ask. My mum asked your mum!' She replied, 'How about we go to District 21!'
'I would love to,' I said, rubbing my head, 'When?'
'This Saturday,' said Qi Qi, 'Wait I have to do something. I will call you later!'
The line stopped. I ended the call.
