Chapter Three: District 21

'Wow Qi Qi. After all these years we have been with each other.'
'Yeah. I felt like going back in grade six.'
'No no! Not that time!'
'I know.'
'Hey, I would like to ask you a question.'
'What is it?'
'Will... You marry me?'
'Drix. I will say....'

BEEEP BEEEP BEEP!

I woke up. The alarm was beeping. WHY?! I was about to hear the answer of my love. This is the third time you ruined my dream alarm! I looked at the time: eight o'clock. I groaned. I wanted to snooze the alarm but I realized there was a reason why the alarm was set that time! I needed to get ready before nine o'clock! Quickly, I rushed to the shower. After that I looked inside the cupboard, not knowing what to wear. I quickly wore the a blue T-shirt with a creeper (from Minecraft) and ran down stairs and ate bacon and scrambled eggs.

You might ask: "What?! Where's your maid?!" I actually lied. There was a guard in front of my house to guard me. His name was Guard Zane. So I normally cook my own breakfast, lunch and Dinner. I sometimes buy food from the mall behind my neighborhood. And where did I get my money? From doing a job of course! I got a job from inventing toy cars out of fallen branches. I loved that job so much that I do it everyday!

Mum and Dad told me about that job before going to the airport. Their friend - Mr Polo - was opening a shop full of toys. They told me that he was looking for people to invent some toys to sell in the shop. Then I agreed to do the job. Mr Polo's shop isn't far away to walk and deliver. For one car toy I made equals RM10 (ringgit). And there's the story how I got money. Interesting huh?

I looked at the time: 8:50. I was watching a Minecraft YouTube user called "Dantdm" (Dan the diamond mine cart). I liked his videos. I liked his Build Battle videos the most. I mean. In one video he won 1st place two times in a video! Wow!

Suddenly the door bell rang. I shut off my Computer, grabbed my "Gap" jacket and opened the door as quick as I can. I also got my phone in my pocket just in case anything happens. I saw Qi Qi in front of me like yesterday. I felt like wondering off to heaven but I knew that won't happen. 'Ready to go?' Asked Qi Qi, wearing a light blue T-shirt with nothing on it. 'Yeah,' I said, putting the hood off my head, 'Let's go!'

I booked a taxi yesterday and it arrived just before I locked the door. I went in along with Qi Qi, 'IOI city mall please,' she said, making the driver nod. While the car drove, I looked at the girl, looking at the view outside. Her hair was facing me like a pretty Hantu (Ghost.) I am just kidding! She looks pretty back and forth and inside out. The trip was longer then I expected. I knew that mall wasn't near my neighborhood at all!

After thirty minutes (I know right),  the taxi finally arrived at IOI city mall. Till that I gave RM10 to the driver but Qi Qi let off my hand and gave RM10. Fine. I decided that if Qi Qi wants to pay, then let her pay. I didn't want to start a fight like in teenager dates. We can broke up easily if we fight. I got out of the car and looked at the entrance. There was statue that belongs to District 21. I guessed it's for persuading people to go there.

If you don't know this District 21 then why are still reading this?! You need to know what that place and mall is! Don't continue until you know what are those places is!

Me and Qi Qi went inside, trying to look grown up. It was pretty nervous when we were walking. Why? People walking passing us stared at the two kids. And that two kids is me and my love. You know, no one had ever seen kids walking by themselves. Or they had another thought that we have a disorder or small grownups. Some people smiled. I guess they are saying that we are a good couple.

District 21 is at the second floor. Maybe I should say the floor below the highest. Now I am Eleven. I am not yet an adult. So how you might ask? Well yesterday Qi Qi said that her aunty works in that place. That means her aunty will supervise us. When we arrived at the place, Qi Qi's aunt was waving her hands in front of the "big" door. She flew her hands around the girl, 'Oh Qi Qi!' said the aunt, 'Look how tall you have grown!'

'I never grow!' laughed Qi Qi, then she put her hand around my neck, 'Aunt Louie, this is Drix. Drix, this is Aunt Louie.' I waved, not wanting a hug. 'Why hello there Drix,' said Aunt Louie,  'Qi Qi told me all about you.' Well. I hope not everything! 'Come on kids. You adventure awaits!' continued the aunt, shoving me and Qi Qi the the big door.

Aunt Louie gave us these socks, gloves and an entry wristband. The socks and gloves are for safety I guess. I don't really know. I wore those things and of course put on my shoes. 'If you need anything,' said the aunt, 'Ask me!' Let me say that she is joyful then any one I know. We went inside. This place was crowded. The line for the "Power Station" was massive! 'Do you want to put your stuff in the locker?' I asked Qi Qi, who looked disappointed for the Power station. 'Wha?' she said, not hearing clearly, 'Oh yes.'

I put my phone and wallet inside the Locker. Qi Qi put her wallet inside. I put a token inside and locked it with the key. I placed it inside my pocket, 'So where do you want to go first?' I asked, 'The Power station? The jumping area?'
'The jumping area,' answered Qi Qi, who was starting to run, 'The last one is a rotten egg!'

I laughed, 'Hey! I wasn't ready!' I ran straight up to the Launch Pad. The girl was jumping near the tube slide place. 'Catch me as you can!' she shouted, jumping at one place to another. Tell you what, that girl is a good sport person. She can run as quickly as a cheetah, do cartwheels and more! I jumped near her place but she quickly jumped to the left side. I am a sports person. I like running as fast as a cheetah and jumping high. But due to the amount of space we have to play and the rules, I can't really do those stuff carefully. 

After that we went to the Tubby ride. This was my favorite activity in District 21. You get to sit on a inner tube and the staff you push you down the snow bank. You either can ride down backwards or forwards. I rode down backwards and never screamed. But with Qi Qi, she screamed unexpectedly. I think she accidentally screamed.

Suddenly I felt hungry. The wallet was in my locker. When you open those kind of lockers, the key will get stuck inside the key hole. That means that you need another token to close again. When Qi Qi finished pulling her tubby up, I asked, 'Are you hungry?' She nodded, holding her stomach as if she has a stomachache. We went to Aunt Louie, who was in front of the Power Station, and said that we are hungry. The Aunt said that she will buy the food for us. So generous and kind. She really need to check us like: "Do you have money?"

Me and Qi Qi ordered French Fries and chicken wings. It's the only thing we like in District 21. Aunt Louie payed. We sat on a table but the Aunt can't join because she had to do her job. After about thirty minutes, I went to grab our food. I smelled the chicken wings when I got to the place. The food was on the counter with a note on it. I looked at the note; it said:

Two kids (or one) will pick up this food. DO NOT TAKE!

I guessed that Aunt Louie wrote that. You know how people are stealing in some places? I mean stealing food? Yeah in some places they do! Anyways I took the food that we ordered and went back to the table. Qi Qi was still putting her hands on her stomach when I got there. She has been doing that for about 35 minutes. Is she starving? 'Are you okay Qi Qi?' I asked, worried about her actions. 'Yeah, just err hungry,' she said.

Suddenly I heard a rumble. The girl was holding her stomach. I never knew she was that hungry! When I put the food on the table, Qi Qi quickly grabbed a plate and a chicken wing and started to eat. I giggled quietly. I drank cold water and ate fries and chicken. Same as the girl in front of me. After that we wanted to go to the Free Fall. All we have to do is wear these gear and jump with the rope that is tied on us. Luckily no one was there to jump. It's because the Free Fall is... Very.... High. Some people scream when falling. If you don't know this, search for it!

I wanted to jump first. I wore the gear and helmet and went up the ladder. When you were wearing the gear, you are ever so confident. But when you got up the ladder and look down, you are ever so scared. 'Ready?' asked the staff with me, buckling up the rope on me. I said, 'Yes.' He gave me a thumbs up. I closed my eyes and jumped.

After two seconds, I opened my eyes. I felt the wind pulling me down. I landed on this big black thing. The staff near the big black thing unbuckled me and helped me take off my gear and helmet. I went outside the big black thing
and looked up. Qi Qi was standing on the pad, being buckled up by the staff who buckled up me.

Suddenly I heard an explosion...
