You just gotta be kidding me.
I gasped and stared at it, like almost five minutes. It was like the first ever leg invention I have ever saw, but I had a second thought.
Why give me Robot Legs? I could just use a wheelchair round and round the place. And, what about Qi Qi? Where was she?
"Surprising right?" Dr Kilo said, also looking at my legs, "It's the newest invention in the whole history."
"But why you give me Robot legs?" I asked, curiously, "Why not give me a wheelchair?"
"Because," He went towards me, almost touching me ear, "You have lots of injuries, and your legs were so poor that they fell out in your operation. So we called the overseas to ship us the newest Invention, Robot Legs."
I noticed that he said "Poor."
"And that took about two days to get here. So, we did some work on your legs, and then it was finished." He leaned back where he was standing, "I guess that you want to know where that girl is."
How did he know that? I mean, mind reading? Dr Kilo, you are wired.
"Yeah," I said, "Where is she?"
"Still in Operation, she has bad injuries then you." He took a cup and handed over to me, "Drink this."
I took the cup from him, and looked inside. It was orange water that was filling the cup half full, why was he giving this to me? I looked at him, and slowly drank the orange water...
.... And I wanted the vomit it all out. You know what? This medicine tastes like a yolk mixing up with banana! I mean, who would drink that?
"Drix, just to swallow all of it," Dr Kilo said, "It's good for your brain and lungs."
Who would ever want to know that? But I just swallowed the whole thing and sticked my tongue out. I realized that my tongue was orange and my trash was bright white. Why would this human invent this drink?
Suddenly, the main door spread open and six nurses where pulling this wheel bed (you know, hospitals), and pushed it over next to me. I looked at the bed. There was a person with the oxygen mask, with the body and arms covered by a white blanket. It was Qi Qi.
For the moment, she looked fine, but with small stitches on here face. What I was concerned about the covering. I mean, most of the time they would normally place the arms outside the blanket, but this means something different.
The nurses took the oxygen mask off her. Seriously, all of them.
Dr Kilo told me that she will be awake soon, and I will be alone with her. He also told me that dinner trays will fly into this room around 7:00. I was legit fine with that. I kinda want some privacy myself and Qi Qi, not with a doctor and some nurses staring at us. Everyone left the room, and only me and Qi Qi was left. The TV remote was right next to me, but I decided not to until she wakes up.I lay down on my bed, or so called hospital bed. There was a remote control to adjust my bed, and a button saying for service. And... That was literally everything I could do.
I would really love it when Rocky pounce on me whenever I feel bored, but you know that dogs aren't allowed in hospitals (or if the hospital is allowed to bring in pets.) I should say that a hospital stay is kind of boring.
Suddenly, a huge sigh was let out. It sounded like that it had heard the baddest news of having a two-day exam! I probably think that Qi Qi was really tired. I looked at her, and she was up. What confused me about her right arm. The arm was still covered under the blanket but the top bit was out, and it was blue!
"Exhausted?" I asked. And she nodded, without a smile and that means she is not okay.
"Drix?" She said.
"What?"
"I still can't feel my legs."
Like me Qi Qi, Like me.. I sighed, this means that she has the total same problem as me! But the blue... I never had that in my entire life!
"But somethings wired," Qi Qi said, "My right arm, I can't feel."
Not like me Qi Qi, that's different, I went near her.
"Do you ever mind to pull your blanket out?" I asked her, "Because I know why you can't feel."She began to look at me, confused. Then, she pulled out the blanket and gave... The longest gasp... Ever. Well, unfortunately, I did that too. Because the reason why she can't feel her right arm is.....
Robot arms, and they were blue. It was shiny and brand new. Probably the second newest invention in whole time history. Qi Qi became speechless, and me too. She turned her head towards my hospital bed, "Do you have the same thing?" She asked, looking into my eyes.
"I do," I said, pulling of my sheet. Of course, compare to me and Qi Qi's mega are the height (duh..) "But I don't have that robot arm...""No wonder I can't feel a thing," Qi Qi said, rubbing the shines on her "arm". "We need proper training."
I remembered that my grandma needed lots of training of her legs because she replaced a new leg cap and she couldn't feel a thing. I wished that we aren't going to school in the next few days. Please, I don't want everyone staring at my legs.As Dr Kilo says, the dinner trays came in. It was fried noodles and a juice box of Apple. Qi Qi had the same thing. We switched on the television to HBOTV and watched the series called "House Hunters". Then, I realized that we were in First class hospital room. Why would they even put us here? I don't even have one thousand ringgit! (Malaysian money) But oh well maybe it was our parents. I really do missed them so much that I wanted to cry.
So much for today, wait for tomorrow.
