Chapter Six: Training (Part One)

Training, well it wasn't the hardest thing to get on with. I mean, it's just walking on the walking machine, apart from Qi Qi, she dose the same thing but had to pull this rope hard (like that gym machine) to get use to her arm. I thought we were going to the end of the training.

"It was just the beginning," Dr Kilo said to us, after an hour of training, "Not just your body part training, but your hearing and your thinking. You actually thought that the only problem you got are legs and arms?"
Actually I did, I thought.
"This training was the first," He continued, "The second is your hearing."

You never know how annoying it was today. This morning, I was sleeping like a dog, and it was relaxing. Until then, this alarm clock came boosting out into our ears.
Well, not really "boosting", it was actually soft.
Me and Qi Qi were up quickly. Just for that soft sound? You have just got to be kidding me! Then, the breakfast trays came in front of me. It was pancakes with sryup and butter. My favorite, and Qi Qi had Jam and bread. Whaaaat?

After that the nurses took us to the training. I mean, help us walk there. Dr Kilo was waiting in front of the door, smiling like greeting a guest to his house. We stood there in silence.
"Wondering what you are doing here?" He started, shutting that silence. We nodded. "Well, I know this is getting fast but this is your first ever training."
Like I just slept for two minutes, I sighed, Why should they do this to us?

He opened the doors and went in. The nurses went in first and had to force us to walk ourselves! You never know how difficult this was! By the way, there was lots of gym looking machines and I guessed they were. There was a walking machine, and the pulling thingy machine where Dr Kilo was standing. I guessed I am going to use the walking machine, and Qi Qi had to use the pulling thingy.

"These machines behind me will train your legs or arms," Dr Kilo said, "Drix, you will use the walking machine and Qi Qi, you will use the Lat Pulldown."
So that's how they call it: "The Lat Pulldown." I looked at Qi Qi, her face was... Errr.... Sad.... But I don't think she was sad.
You know the Lat Pulldown is one of the most hardest gym equipment to use, and I bet she had never tried it but had heard it before. So, we went on our training and I dare say it was fun....

   ...We went into this room, and it was really dark. Surprisingly, we could hear lots of noises, even from the smallest ants fighting. We could hear the person screaming in another room, which we realized it was two floors above us. This is kind of the listening room.
"This is called the listening room," Dr Kilo said, somewhere in the dark, "To be trained, you need to find each other."

And that's when we realized that we were separated and lost from each other. What kind of room so this?!
"Training starts now," Computer-Voice said, echoing the entire room.

The two main doors were shut, and I couldn't hardly see anything at all. I turned around and walked ten steps away from my space. I started to breath loudly.

"Qi Qi?" I shouted, echoing the whole room. Then, someone said, "No shouting for names, Drix, this is a physical test." How annoying!

I went around the place, left to right, then the opposite. I tried to use my ears, but I can't hear anything.....

Breath Breath, Someone was breathing, Breath Breath, so softly that I could hear it?! I followed it, and it was gradually getting louder. I stated to cover my ears because this breath is such the loudest breath ever!

Make a world record for that!

Suddenly, the breath was fading away. Not in the time like this! Come on, be near to me not the dark of day! I decided to run quickly towards that breath, but I know that is so stupid to do to in the dark of day but I just did. I ran with my robot legs, which were kinda trained after that walking, and heard the breath more and more louder.

I felt like I needed to stop, but it was too late to do that now.

BANG! I bashed into someone's head like a stone and rock fighting. I fell down in between my legs, and felt someone's hand. It was cold and slim. When I figured it out where her head and body was I went closer to her. "Qi Qi? Are you alright?" I whispered, rubbing her body back and forth which I know it was the stupidest thing I ever done to a girl. The "someone" didn't warn me about not talking, so I am not in trouble for talking?

"Drix? Is that you?" She whispered, feeling my hands which were still on her body, "You can put your hands of now."

"Ops, sorry," I took my hand away from her, "So... errr... Do we find the entrance?"

"I think so," she replied, "Let's go slow...." Then she paused, and that's it. Why did she stop?

Growl Growl Something was growling, Growl Growl was it a wolf? The sound was coming from the east , and I think they sound hungry.

"Qi Qi," I said, "Run!"

We ran north like chasing the sun. The wolf sounds were coming near and near and near behind us. How fast are these wolves by the way?

"How are we supposed to find the entrance?" Qi Qi shouted, who I could feel next to me. I shook my head, "I don't know Qi Qi, but I think I know."

I tried to use my ears and listen. I hear people screaming, the spoons crashing, and someone humming a tune. Well, the someone humming a tune sounded familiar.

"Follow me," I said, "I know the way."

We ran towards that humming noise with our robot legs. Then, my head smashed something hard.

"It's a wall," said Qi Qi, as if she could see what's happening in the dark, "Not a door."

I touched her to make her focus on me, "We need to feel the wall and try to feel something different," I whispered, lowering my head in the dark air, "Or it will be better to feel a knob."

"Okay." And we went into different directions, I went to the right and she went to the left.

I tried to feel something different but nothing different was there. The wolf noises were closer and the humming voice was far. I decided to walk back to the left.....

.... "Drix! I found a knob!" She exclaimed, probably hearing my footsteps. Finally, in twenty minutes finding this knob, and plus ten minutes of finding each other.

"Good, now turn it before WE ALL DIE!" I sighed, wanting to faint and get out of here. So she turned the knob and...

Glow went into our eyes.
