Moment of Silence

*Franco's P.O.V.*

*sigh*

"Why do I have to do the Heavy lifting?"I scratched my head.

Well,no one does it better than me,I guess.

I drove first to the super market.

To my surprise,there wasn't alot of infected people there.

I honked my horn,turning all of the infected people's attention towards me and looked at me like I was a McNugget.

I slowly drove backwards,leading them away from there.

This was not as terrifying as I thought it would've been.

The longer I drove,the thicker the crowd got.

When I was at the target destination,I quickly did a U-turn and stepped on the pedal.

I look back at the now almost unseen infectes crowd disappear.

*a few minutes later*

I was nearing Therese when the engine broke down.

"Hot Oreos!"I exclaimed.

Why broke down all of a sudden?

I walked carefully as I held my shiny combat axe in my left hand.

I turned towards the last corner to which building Therese was scouting at.

I did a detour through a dark alleyway because a group of infected people were headed my way.

I ran fast through the dark area and before I knew it I was already out.

I think it's a successful mission!

I went inside the building.It was trashed.Paper and glass scattered around the slightly dirty peach-colored tiles.

As I was walking towards the stairway that led to Therese,I felt a cold,mettalic thing press against my lower back.

"Put you're hands where I can see 'em!"I heard someone say behind me.

I put my hands up to my head and turned around slowly.

A girl that was almost as tall as me stood before me.She had brown,slightly long hair and She was wearing a dark red jacket and black skinny jeans.She pointed the gun to my chest.

I was shaking so much.

"O...okay..now put down the gun please"I asked,trying to sound calm.

"Do you have supplies?"The girl asked demandingly.

"Look,I know we just met but can you please put down the gun?"I asked,now sounding a bit worried.

The girl closed her eyes and sighs.

"Alright.Now,do you have supplies?"She asked as she puts the gun back in her holster.

"To be honest,we're on a loot mission right now.But if you help us,I might give you some.If they agree."I explained calmly.

"If who agrees?nevermind.Alright"she says as she throws back her hair.

Woah...she's kinda hot...

"Where we goin'?"she asked.

"To the rooftops"I said.

She gasps as she says

"Let's go now!"She yells as she speeds up the stairway.

I try hard to catch up to her.

She bursts through the rooftop doors.

I see Therese tied up in a steel chair and was crying.A guy with a pistol was standing beside her.

"What did you do to her?!"I said,demanding an explaination.

"Franco,help me please"Therese said weakly.It looked like she was punched or something.

"Why did you tie her up?!"I yelled as I took my combat axe from it's holster.

"Don't even think about it!"Yelled the man,now pointing his gun at me.

I tried to run to Therese.

Then I heard a loud BANG!

...

Next thing I knew I was already on the ground.

Was I shot?

I feel an intense pain in my left flank.

Then everything faded to black...

*Reader's P.O.V.*

"Franco!"Therese forced herself out of the ties,hurting her wrist in the process.

Therese runs to his side.

"Oh my gosh!why did you shoot him?!"The girl yelled at the guy.

"I thought he was going for you!"He yelled back.

"Please stop yelling and help him!"Therese yelled at them.

Tears were running down her cheeks as she rests Franco's head in her lap.

Franco had passed out from the shock he sustained from the gunshot.

The two people stopped argueing,then the guy lifted Franco up to his shoulder ran downstairs.

"You"he called Therese.

"Please lead the way,Angelica!cover us!"he continued.

The girl nodded as she takes her gun out of it's holster.

*a few running and killing later*

Therese led the people to the car that Franco left outside the building for Therese.

"Get in there with him,I'll drive"The guy told Therese.

"How am I supposed to trust you?"Therese asked.

"You want you're boyfriend to live right?"He replied.

Therese blushed,but was able to set it aside.

"Go,I'll tell you where to go"Therese said as she gets in the back with Franco.

The guy was driving and the girl named Angelica was in the passenger seat.

Therese cries as she holds his hand.

"Hey stay with me,okay?"She says as she continues to put pressure in his wound.

Then her radio sounded.
