5 Things We Hate About School

- Homework
Why can't we do all our work in class? Why do we have to suffer with homework as well? They take away our day and our nights. Some people have social lives (not me) and other things they want to do that are more important.

- Teachers
I really like some of my teachers but others get on my nerves. They are constantly shouting and tell you off for looking out of the window. Can I not observe the ding dong view?! They don't seem to have an off switch. I had this one teacher who's talk was a shout and whisper was a talk. We're here to learn not be defended.

Don't even get me started on supply teachers. They are either really clueless or really strict. With a supply, you don't know what you're going to get. If they are clueless, you can get away with murder. If they are strict, you can't even talk. It's ridiculous. That being said, there is one supply I had who was perfectly in between. It was only ONE though!

- Exams
Don't get me wrong, I know that we have to do exams to get our GCSE's and stuff but, don't you think they've gone a bit overboard with the whole exam thing. You walk into school expecting a nice easy day and BAM you have a stupid test first period. We're kids. School is meant to be the best years of our life. The way it's going though, they are bound to be our worst...

- Not learning anything relevant to life
I don't know if I'm the only one, but have you noticed we aren't taught anything that could help us in real life. How do we pay taxes? How do we apply for a job? How do we handle our money sensibly? These are important life skills and we're not taught any of that. It's stupid. Why can't they teach us how to handle things after you've split from a long term partner? Effectively, you're sharing everything and suddenly you're not but how does that work?

Dear schools,
Teach us this along with the other crap,
Yours Sincerely,
Rebecca

- A perfect uniform
Have the teachers not been students themselves? Do they not know how uncomfortable a top button is? Having a perfect uniform really annoys me. It's not that I don't like looking presentable sometimes but they're taking it too far. Punishments are being thrown left, right and center for simply forgetting to tuck your shirt in. What is the world coming to?
