I crawled towards fallen box and grabbed the half opened flaps. I opened it carefully, coughing as the dust flew. I took out the wedding dress. It was really pretty but dirty. I peeked into cardboard box. There were newspaper laying in it. The dress must be wrapped in it. I took out the newspapers suddenly my hand touched something hard like a book. I grabbed it and took it out.
"What is this?" I asked myself, examining the purple book, looks like a diary.
My eyes widened as I opened the first page.
This Diary belongs to Fuyumi Haruno
Mom? It's mom's diary. I checked the first entry, it was 20 years old. That means three years before my birth. It would definitely have something about my dad. I can't wait to read it. I quickly threw the newspapers and the wedding dress in the box, closed it and kicked it under the table.
I quickly ran out of the attic to my room. I locked the door behind me. I was about to sit on the bed, my phone rang. I opened it and Naruto's name popped up. I answered it.
"Hello"
"Sakura-chan, are you free?"
"Not really. Wait! Can you come here real quick? I need to show you something."
"Sure. I was bored anyway." I hung up, and laid on my bed, waiting for Naruto.
After a minute or two there was a tap the bedroom window. Sakura sat up and saw Naruto waving through her balcony. She quickly opened the balcony window and helped him in.
"For the last time, Naruto use the freaking door." She said exhaustively. Naruto just flashes his adorable grin.
"So, what ya wanted to show me, Sakura-chan?"
"Look what found from the attic."
"A book?"
"No baka, A diary. Mom's diary." She said barely hiding her excitement, "It would have some clue about my dad. Isn't it just great?"
Naruto smiled softly, "Sure is."
"Let's start reading. And don't make that face, I'll read."
They sat down on the bed, opening the first page.
