Finding Faith

Chapter One: First Day of School

"Mom, Hurry up I am going to be late for the first day of school," screamed Aurora. "I'll be there in a minute," said Mrs. Marian. Aurora was very nervous it was the first day of her senior year. She had seen movies and read books of how amazing senior year can be. Aurora had also seen how horrible this year could also be, it was all up to her to make it be a good one. She finally got in the car and her mom drove her to school. It was the busiest day of the year, everyone had to get their schedule in the gym. "Oh god, where do I go?" thought Aurora of course that didn't stop her from walking to her destination. She got to the gym and there was signs A-Z, she was desperately looking for her friends which she couldn't find. Aurora saw the sign she was looking for, R. She made the long line of R's till they got to her last name; Reid. She got her schedule and stared at it for a while trying to figure out where she was supposed to be walking to. Period 1, fourth building, second floor, room 208. Aurora sigh took a deep breath and walk towards building four which was just a couple of minutes away. Before Aurora walked in the class she took another deep breath, smiled and fixed her self. "Good Morning Ms.Zyra my names is Aurora Reid, happy to meet you," she said. "Good Morning Aurora, can you please sign in there for me. I will seat you in alphabetical order," said Ms.Zyra. Aurora waited until everyone was in the class so Ms.Zyra could seat them. "Alex Acevez seat number one, Yulia Brook seat number two ........" Shouted Ms.Zyra. "Of course this is going to take forever I'm R, ugh," thought Aurora. The teacher kept telling everyone where to seat from left to right until the table of two where full. Once they were full she had to start siting people on the side of the table to make three people per table. She then started again from table 1. "Aurora Reid, table number 1," shouted Ms.Zyra. As Aurora glanced over at table one and walked over. She was already nervous enough, she then noticed that the teacher had sat her next to the most handsome guy in the whole class. She then become a little shaky and scared to even talked. The teacher has finished assigning seats. "These are the seats for the whole school years students, stated Ms.Zyra. "Oh gee, what I'm I going to do," thought Aurora. Aurora could not find where to look, of course she couldn't stare at him it would make her look as the creepy one. She could not wait for the teacher to assign some work where she could focused on anything other then him. In a matter of minutes mister handsome introduced himself. "Hi my name is Alex Acevez, what's your name", "Oh, Hello I am Aurora Reid, nice to meet you." Her hand where shaky, she just wanted that period to end. Minutes went by and the bell finally rang to go to second period. 9:06 finally her savior. As the day went on slowly for Aurora she couldn't help but think about Alex. The thought of him would come knocking in and she would find distraction to it every time. "Six periods remaining and I get to go home, Yes!" thought Aurora. As she introduced herself to each and every class and began to make new friends Aurora had enough for that day, she wanted it over. By the time lunch came she met up with her friends Faith and Shiloh. They got their lunch and the cafeteria was so full their was only one table left so they decided to make it their permanent spot for the whole year. An hour later the bell rang to go to class and they all said their good byes, of course Aurora didn't mention anything about her thoughts of Alex. After lunch the day went by faster and in was one minute till dismissal. The clock hit three twenty, "Finally, I get to go home and relax after a long day," shouted Aurora. She got in the car and went home. "How was your day sweetie," asked Mrs. Marian. "It was exhausting mom, to many things to do today plus I hate standing in front of class and introducing myself. Do you know how many times I had to do that today? Too many." sighed Aurora. "Go change and come eat" said Mrs.Marian. "Okay mom be right back "replied Aurora. Once Aurora was done with her dinner she went upstairs and did what she needed to get done and later went to sleep.
