Finding Faith

Chapter two: Destiny

Aurora was anxious to go to first period and see the guy she couldn't stop thinking about. Finally her wish was granted, the clock hit 8:20. Everyone was in their assign classrooms.

"Good morning guys", said Aurora.

"Whats up", replied Alex.

Aurora seamlessly smiled at him.

"Alright settle down guys, settle down. Today I planned for you to do a fun activity to get to know each other and get comfortable" commented Ms.Zyra.

Aurora was happy to hear that because of course she wanted to know who Alex really was. Even though Aurora was happy she was nervous. She thought that a guy like him would never talk or even acknowledged a girl like her. She didn't give it much thought, she let everything take its form.

"The assignment is to draw the person next to you and let them tell you about themselves; name, age, likes and dislikes", said Ms. Zyra.

Shortly after the teacher told them the assignment for the day. Aurora was even more nervous than before, having to stand right in front of him, looking in to his eyes. She started to get shaky and moved in front of him. Although Aurora has drawing skills she couldn't seem to get it right, she was just too nervous. She tried her best to draw him while he drew her. He kept looking back and forth at her. Aurora couldn't help but looking away every time. After drawing him she showed him and he showed her. They both laughed at the drawing of themselves.

"Wow, that is way better than what I drew", Alex told Aurora.

She blushed and replied with a thank you. Aurora started asking him the questions she needed to answer on the paper.

"When is your birthday Alex." asked Aurora. "August 28", replied Alex. "Oh my god, that's insane! It's next Friday. My birthday is August 21, which was Friday." excitedly said Aurora.

To her he was really nice and funny. The more they talked the more things they found in common. Aurora couldn't help but smile when she was next to him. Time went by so slow with him, she just wanted to know more and more about him but there wasn't enough time in the period for them to talk through it. They spend the whole period introducing more to themselves. Soon the bell rang and they had to leave, she didn't want to but she had to. Therefore she waved.

"Bye Alex see you later"said Aurora.

"Bye, Aurora," said Alex.

She could not wait till lunch to try and find him. Lunch time came around and Aurora met up with her friends and decided to tell her friends about him.

"Faith, I have something to tell you. Come Shiloh don't tell anybody, this is between us," said Aurora.

"Well I met this guy and well he kinda sparked a light inside of me. He is so cute, kind and funny. He has these eyes where you can loose yourself in like a never ending maze. And his smile, oh my god. His laugh is contagious and I can't stop thinking about him. I wanna get to know him," told Aurora to the girls.

Faith replied, "Oh my god, Aurora, who is the lucky guy?"

Aurora answered "Alex."

"That is so not specific," stated Shiloh.

"I would show you him if I could find him, I haven't seen him at all," said Aurora sadly.

"No worries, you'll find him eventually," said Faith

Aurora smiled and said, "I hope so."

They talked about their summers and upcoming events in their life. Aurora had just celebrated her 17th birthday, 5 days ago. She was really excited, she was becoming a young adult by the hour. They were all very excited for their senior year together. The last year, a year to remember for ever. Getting accepted to college, graduation, Prom. Prom has always been a huge deal for Aurora. She always dreamt about the perfect proposal. Getting ask by a great guy in front of the whole school. Someone who actually took time and effort to make it perfect for her. Many say that she is living a fairytale, that she will never get her princess proposal but she holds on to hope. They had their hour lunch and a long friendly talk. They did not find him what so ever.

"Better luck tomorrow Rora, Love You!" both Shiloh and Faith told Aurora.

Aurora's day went by faster than you can say Twinkle Twinkle little star.

"Time for bed already, Yay!" excitedly said Aurora.

The next morning Aurora got up earlier and gathered the prettiest clothes she owned. She took her time on her make up to look perfect for him. She had a big smile and she was ready to go. She saw him once again and had a fun first period. By the time lunch came Aurora finally found him but right next to him was someone she didn't know existed. She felt like an idiot for thinking they could ever happen.

"What was I thinking, of course this would happen to me. Nothing good ever happens to me" cries Aurora walking towards the bathroom. Faith and Shiloh followed her to calm her down.

"I know who he is, I had classes with him last year. That is Alex Acevez. Alex and Iris have been dating for over a year" ...... "Im sorry boo," said Faith.
