"Aurora don't worry about a thing, this is your senior year. Don't let a dumb guy ruin it. C'mon princess pick your head up and fix your crown," said Faith trying to comfort Aurora.

" You are right Faith, what I'm I doing. I'm Aurora Reid and I won't let a silly guy messed up my day. I just met him , he's means nothing to me."

Aurora fixes her make up, puts on a smile and walks out like nothing happened. After school that day she told her mother about Alex. She told her how much she liked him but the bad part was that he belongs to someone else. Days past and Aurora unknowingly sat three tables across from the happy couple. Both Aurora and Alex facing each other but she never commented upon the situation. Aurora would find herself staring at him and just wishing that she was that lucky girl. She would always look away when he seemed to be looking her direction; she didn't want him to suspect a thing. Aurora would tell her friends to go a certain way or place because she knew he would be there. Aurora never approached him or said a single word to him but she admired him from a far. She had morals and she was not going to come between them under any circumstances.

"Let's go to the gym, pleaseeeeeee!" Said Aurora.

"Why, it's boring in the there," stated Faith.

"No reason, I just want to go, please!" Replied Aurora.

"Sure, we'll go. Just to make you shut up," said Faith annoyed.

Neither Faith or Shiloh knew she only wanted to go because Alex was going to be there. She kept this up for about a month. Then she realized it was hopeless and pointless to keep this non sense on. That was the day she promised her self she wasn't going to talk about him, neither think about him or feel. She repeated to herself he meant nothing to her until she believed it. Aurora had enough of hurting herself.

"She came first and I have no right to even be in his thoughts. I hope they have a happy and strong relationship," thought Aurora.

That was the day that marked Aurora. She made up her mind and she was going to move on from the hopeless crush she had on dreamy Alex.
She was very serious about it and talked to Faith and Shiloh about it. They both offer to help her move on and be happy.

"First you have to stop looking for him. Don't glance with hope to see him. Don't think about him for a millisecond. Don't mention him what so ever. The subject is dead." Stated Faith.

"I got it. I got this," Said Aurora.

"Who is Alex Acevez?" Asked Faith.

"An amazing guy I have a crush on!" Replied Aurora.

"Who is Alex Acevez?" Asked Shiloh.

"A wonderful dreamy guy!" Replied Aurora.

"Who is Alex Acevez?" Asked Faith once again.

"A random guy I just met!" Replied Aurora.

"Who is Alex Acevez?" Asked Shiloh for the last time.

"Oh, him, a random guy I met months ago," replied Aurora.

"Perfect," both Faith and Shiloh shouted.

Aurora slowly started to believe the lie, she did not like him, she felt nothing for him. Although it killed her inside a little everyday Aurora was not going to surrender to forgetting Alex. More days went by and everything seemed perfect in the eyes of her friends. Aurora did not speak of Alex, not even by mistake. She did not glance around looking for him. She programmed herself not to care. Aurora was the kind of of girl that always had a smile. She would always find a way to make someone laugh no matter how many problems she was going through herself. She cared more about others than she cared for herself. The more you care the easier it is to get hurt but that didn't stop her from being the most kind hearted girl you'll ever meet. Although everyone thought she was 100% fine, she was not. She was broken inside. The hardest thing to do is watch the one you love, love someone else. It's hard to pretend to love someone when you don't, but it's harder to pretend that you don't love someone when you really do. That day they all planned to go to homecoming that weekend to get everyone's mind off things.

"Cmon Aurora you should come maybe you'll meet a guy who will see how amazing you are," said Faith.

"But..........Sure why not. What do I have to loose." Stated Aurora.

Saturday, October 3rd.  Homecoming day, Aurora had enough time to get her glam on. She called up her friends once she was ready and they agreed on a time. 7pm on the student parking lot, no later than that. This help Aurora cleared her mind for hours. She partied like she never had before. Every song that came up she enjoyed and danced to, even if she didn't know how. One hour left till it ended and a guy approaches her. She asked him to dance for the hell of it. Right when they were about to dance, the dj changed the song to a slow one. They got closer and began to slow dance. Afterwards he introduced himself and put his number on her phone. Nathaniel was his name.

"Maybe this is your fate, Nathaniel not Alex," said Faith.

"How would I know, I just met him," stated Aurora.

"Well talk to him and find out," said Shiloh excited.

"I guess. Sure,"
"Well see you Monday guys. Thanks for tonight it was very fun, you guys are the best friends in the history. Goodnight, love you," said Aurora.

"Good night love and think about what we said. It won't hurt you to open up, for once in your life. He seems like a really nice guy." Said Faith.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bye my loves," shouted Aurora while getting into the car. That was the end of her fun night.
