Aurora could not get this guy out of her mind. Her head was already all twisted and she didn't know what else to believe. She spend the whole weekend wondering and creating scenarios in her head. Nathaniel finally texted her and since that day her and Nathaniel were inseparable. They would text twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. At night they would call each other and talk for hours about anything and everything. They became the bests friends. For months and months they never cut ties. It was from good morning to good night, every single day. Aurora only knew back stabbed and betrayal; pain. When she noticed how great their relationship was, she began to wonder further more.

"Was he flirting with me or being himself? Do I like him like that or is he just a friend." Thought Aurora.

She was very confused on her thoughts and feelings for this guy.  She did not want to end their friendship over some dumb thoughts, so she didn't tell him anything for weeks. She began to talk about her relationship with Nathaniel with her closest friends Faith and Shalom. They both analyze it and told her the same thing.

"Nathaniel likes, likes you." quoted playfully Faith.

"How could this be? How do you know?" Asked Aurora worried.

"By the way he treats you. You can't talk to someone for months straight and not feel a thing. At the end one falls in love." Stated Shiloh.

"Well what do you feel," asked Faith to Aurora.

"I honestly don't know. Being a hundred percent completely serious. I don't understanding what goes through my head and heart." said Aurora.

"Well think about it for a while and then let us know. We are here for you no matter what time or place." Commented Shiloh.

"Thank you guys. I will. Think about it. " replied Aurora.

Weeks passed and Aurora thought she made up her mind about him. She told the girls she liked him. So the girls told her she should tell him. Aurora was scared, she didn't want to end the friendship for an unwanted feeling. Yet Aurora wrote a letter to Nathaniel.

" Well I really don't know how to say this. I'm really bad at expressing myself. Any ways let me stop beating around the bush and be straight foward with you...........enclosed the note.

When Nathaniel read the note where Aurora expressed her feelings for him he replied that he did not feel the same way for her. Aurora then became upset but also she became more aware of things. He wasn't flirting he was just having a fun time with her. Nothing less, nothing more. Just friends. Aurora started to give it more thought to the situation.

"Wow, I can't believe I'm trying so hard to get away from reality that I let myself believe something that wasn't true." Thought Aurora to her self.

She was so anxious to move on and forget Alex she made herself believe this guy was the one. The person she wanted and needed. She realizes he's not, before it went any further. They were just really great friends she mistook for more. She just wanted to feel loved by someone, anyone. Aurora could not get Alex out of her heart no matter how hard she tried. Nothing seemed to work out for her. She felt doomed to be forever alone. She felt hopeless and depressed. Things just didn't go as planned for her. The one guy she truly cared for, did not and could not feel the same way. What does one do when all else fails. Aurora decided to back away a little at a time from Nathaniel, they were still great friends but she couldn't keep the same connection with him any longer. Slowly they texted less and less until it was just messages about school work. She had given up on love completely nothing could change her mind about it. As timed passed she became emotionless towards situations. She cared less and less about things. Aurora noticed some changes around her. Small changes but she noticed. Alex and her had created a class group chat for marine science; first period. She started to get messages from him randomly. Once a week,

"Where are you at?"  Messaged Alex.

"Almost there." Replied Aurora.

She felt him different more open with her, more playful. Of course the first thing she did was tell Faith.

"Alex is acting different with me. I don't even know." Told Aurora to Faith.

The week after that his text would be many minutes before class time.

"Where are you?" Texted Alex.

"It's not even time yet." Replied Aurora.

The next day the same messaged from Alex asking where she was. Aurora became suspicious of why he was asking for her so much. When she saw Faith she talked to her about it, she had a spark in her eye when she talked.

"Faith, he's asking for me a lot. That's good right? Right?" Asked Aurora.

One day she left her class early and walking by, she encounters him. No one was around, class had not ended yet. They stayed there talking until the bell rang.  The next day hoping she would see him, she left class early yet again. To her surprise he was at the same spot for the second time. She was happy to see him and started to leave class minutes earlier just to see him. The text messages increased and this time they talked more than just, "where are you at." Aurora felt her emotions change, she felt warmth in her heart.
She was happy. Randomly Alex asked her for her number days later. A little weirded out, Aurora gave it to him. Although she loved him she knew he belonged to someone else. One afternoon Alex calls her and she picks up.

"Hello?"
    -Hello?"
"Who's this?"
Seconds before she was about to press the end call button she hear something.

"It's me Alex!"

Too late she had already ended the call. She hears her phone ring again.

"Hello?"
  "Hello! Hey it's me Alex."
"Oh hey. What's up."
"Not much, just chilling."
"Nice"
"What you up to?"
"Actually my mother is calling me I have to go, talk to you later."
"Alright bye."
"Bye"

Aurora lied to him. Her mom did not call her, she felt weird talking to him. It didn't feel right. Alex kept wanting to talk to her or text but Aurora gave him excuse after excuse not too.
An evening he texted her and tells her that him and his girlfriend broke up for good. Aurora did not get any hope from these news. She asked him why and he responded that things were complicated. Than they began to text a little more than usually. They would laugh harder at things and have more fun. Weeks passed and Alex notices a guy flirting with Aurora at lunch. He goes up to her.

"What's up" asked Alex.

"Oh nothing, this guy over here that won't leave me alone." Whispered Aurora.

"You want to make him mad or jealous for fun?" Asked Alex.

"Sure, why not. It will be fun." Replied Aurora.

Alex begins to get closer to her day by day to mess with the guy who was flirting with her. Unfortunately they both have him in their first period.
But they found a way to have fun with it. The day after in first period an interesting subject came up.

"So, he has a crush on you ?" Asked Alex.

"Yes, but I don't like him. He won't leave me alone."  Replied Aurora.

"So, who do you have a crush on" asked Alex.

"Someone," shyly answered Aurora.
"who?"
"I can't tell you!"
"Why not?"
"Because if I tell you, you will tell him."
"No I won't. I promise."
"Yes, you will because you know him too well."
"Who is it?"
"I can't tell you he is too close to you. If I tell you is like telling him!"
"I won't tell!"
"All I'm going to say is he is super close to you. More than you think."

He wondered  the whole period, who could it be? When the bell rang he walked with her and ask her if it was.......
