I sneek in through the front door and up the stairs, I go down the short corridor to Benjis room, I wait there until I hear someone coming towards the door I hide under Benjis bed until I an sure it isn't his parents,I sneak out of under the bed and stand up.
"O MY GOD" Benji says in shock when he first sees me then he visibly calms when he realises it's me "Jarred you scared the crap out of me" Benji smiles.
" Are you ok" I ask him him concerned.
"Yeah I am fine" he replies with a smile that doesn't reach his eyes
" I don't believe you Benji " I say sternly shaking my head. " what happened to your face?" I ask placing my hand over red hand mark on his cheek jently.
Benji moves away from my touch and grabbs a bag pack fron his cubourd and starts putting clothes in it "what are you doing?" I ask him flatly.
" I am packing; leave me alone I don't want you to talk me out of it Jarred" he huffs at me
" so you were just going to leave without telling me" my voice wavered as I swallowed bag the lump in my thought.
Benji body tenst then slowly began to shake " I can't stay here with them anymore" his voice wobbled, my heart felt like it broke inside my chest "I have never seen Benji cry" I say in my head, Benji sobbed and carried on packing.
We both turned around when we both heard the click of the lock, I quickly ran over and pushed the handle down and pull the door, just to realise they had locked us in. " Its ok, they do that every night" his voice quivered, Benji then wiped his nose with the back his hand he then went over and opend the window wide.
" We are going to jump out the window" I squeak with nerves
"What your scared" Benji teases
"Of hights yes, remember the time our families went camping and decided to go rock climbing and I broke my leg" I glare at him
" yeah is that why you are scared of heights" Benji laughs at me
"don't laugh it's not funny" I laugh because of Benjis laugh.
