the world screws over the most
beautiful people.

the people who deserve the world at their fingertips, but have nothing. the people with the whitest insides, only wanting good for everyone, are cut down. these people have a hard time hanging on.

they don't wish on stars, because they know the truth. stars are just burning rocks in the sky lightyears away. why wish on something that can't even keep themselves from falling?

these people dream of happy endings, they dream about not wanting to give up.

giving up is a constant thought for them. wouldn't it be easier if they just stopped trying? in their heads the answer is always yes.

they don't understand there is someone out there for them that someone will love them. some of these lost souls never find that person who was meant for them, others who find them can't believe someone wants them.

they end up hurting what they've been missing all along. they try to love, but it's hard for them. when you aren't wanted your whole life it's hard to accept when someone actually loves you.

they push them away trying to protect themselves and their one person. they love their one person so much, that they know they can do better than them.

they can be given better than what their broken soul can give. they only hurt themselves, and their one person in the process.

their one person always tries to show them how truly beautiful they are, but of course they never listen.

honestly there is only so much their one person can take. yes, their one person loves them with everything, but it hurts to be pushed to the point of breaking. when they're breaking they have no other choice than to say,

"i've given up on you."
