There was a knock on my door. Adne, Kurstin, and Ronay busted my door down. "Let's get you dressed hot shot."

"It's sexy time." I groaned, "You guys have to wait till I answer the door before you come storming in like wild animals." They all laughed. Adne held a long black bag out. "Put. It. On." She shoved it into my arms and then shoved me into the bathroom. I didn't even have time to reply. I unzipped the bag and pulled out a long, beautiful, elegant, and even sexy red dress. It was covered in sequins and had some seethrough parts. It was strapless too. I took off my clothes with a sigh and slipped on the dress. It fit perfectly. How the hell did they get my size? I waved off the thought and finished adjusting the dress. My long silver hair fell down to my waist. I walked out the door and into the bedroom where all the girls lay on the bed. When they saw me they screamed. "You look hot!"

"Oh my god, you're so pretty."

"You look so much like Iris, it's insane." I finally noticed they all wore elegant dresses and looked flawless. Especially Adne. Her dress was white with a gold trim. It looked like a wedding gown Her hair was curly falling over her shoulders.. I was stunned. "You guys look so much better though." Ronay wore a gold dress and had her red hair in a braided bun. Kurstin wore a peach dress that matched perfectly with her skin tone and jet black hair. Her hair was in a beautiful waterfall braid. "Now let's do something about your hair and nails." I frowned at my black nails. I also learned that nail polish doesn't cover it. Ronay shoved me into a chair and began working on my hair. Kurstin started working on my nails and Adne did my makeup.

All in all, I looked good. After a good hour, Karissa came barging in with a white dress on that had a silver trim. She looked beautiful as well. She was flushed, "I can't find Skyrim."

"What do you mean you can't find her?"

"She isn't in her room or anywhere else in house."

"She couldn't have gone too far."

"Yeah, she is wearing violet, she needs to be at the ball."

"Kol went to find her, but I'm a little concerned about it this time." I stood up, "Where would she have gone?" Karissa looked at me, "Out of everyone in the group, she is most secretive. I have no clue." I started walking out of the room. Right as I went to the door, I bumped right into Skyrim.

"Calm down Kare, I'm here."

"What the fuck!"

"I went somewhere real quick, no biggy."

"No biggy? You were gone for five hours." She shrugged. Her dress was a lacy violet, which matched her complexion and eyes. Karissa grabbed Adne, "Let's go Adne."

"Wait, I wanted to get a picture with everyone."

"You can at the ball. Right now, we need to get our asses to the ballroom. People are already coming."

"Oh shit. Well bye you guys, see you later." We all laughed and waved.

We walked down the halls and to the ballroom. Karissa was right, there was a lot of people coming in. At the door, I met up with Chris. He held his arm out to me, "Evening beautiful."

"Thanks handsome." He kissed my cheek. I looked over to see Jace glaring at us. I tried my hardest to ignore him. We walked inside and the crowd was wild.

At first, I thought it was from the excitement, then I realized it was because I was there. Everyone yelled out in protest, "It's the daughter of the devil's making!"

"It will kill us all!"

"It shouldn't be aloud in here!" I looked all around to see people frightened or angered. I clenched my fist. Chris held my hand, "Don't listen to them."

"To hell I will." I cracked my neck and walked out in front of everyone, "Excuse me assholes of this party. I'm here because I was invited like all you bitches. I'm here for the same reason you are, to see Princess Adriana-Lissa and Karissa be given thanks for saving the universe more than once." I scowled at them all, "Got issues with me, then shit them out and throw them outside because I ain't dealing with bullshit tonight." Adne and Karissa clapped and everyone gasped. Stunned by their action, everyone just put everything to the side and continued on.

Everything had died down and now it just left me and Chris on the dance floor. I closed my eyes, letting the peaceful sounds of the music soothe me. I didn't feel like a monster, I actually felt normal, special even. I looked up at Chris, who had his eyes closed. I turned my head to look at everyone dancing. Karissa's boyfriend Jackson was back from traveling over to Nova. Ronay was with Kol, Kurstin was with Jason, and Skyrim was sitting and talking with C.J. It felt like something was missing. As Chris slowly turned me, there stood the missing piece. Jace. He stood off to the side, staring at me. It felt as if I knew what he was thinking, You're dancing with the wrong person. I looked away and then looked back. Some chick was standing beside him and he wrapped his arm around her and began kissing her. I felt a certain pain in my chest. I moved from Chris, "I need some air." I turned around and walked out.

The outside was complete darkness. I blinked a couple of times so my eyes would adjust and suddenly everything was clear and normal. I took off my heels, since they were very uncomfortable. I slowly walked down the path that lay out in front of me. I let my fingers brush against the bushes. The sandy type ground felt soft as my feet rubbed across them. It was all peaceful. Once I closed my eyes for a moment, I saw Jace sucking on that girl's face. I opened my eyes and blinked away the tears. I heard a rustle behind me. That was when everything went downhill.
