No it can't be happening I thought as I walked towards the stage I can feel every eye on me and as I reach the steps leading to the stage I don't feel as if I can climb them. The guard standing there pushes me up then turns back to the crowd. I stumble up and stare out at the crowd. Every face blues except for one Oriel's she looks shock and scared a single tear traces down her cheek which surprises me she never cries or even shows her feelings ever since her mom died she hid her emotions and stayed as strong as a fourteen year old girl could. That shocked me out of my reverie. I tried to stand as tall as possible and not show my emotions then the representative reaches into the bowl for the second time and pulls out a name "Oriel Summers" she calls out the high voice making it hard to understand but I did because this representative had just called my best friends name and given her a death sentence. Oriel kept her head high and stepped forward a straight face on but her eyes betrayed her emotions shock and fear but in those scared eyes behind the terror and shock hope shone making all other emotions seem to fade. And Steph understood they had planned this happening for weeks every reaping month they had a plan and as long as they wear together one of them just might win. Oriel stepped onto the stage and stood next to her giving no sign that they new each other. Then after the other two boys were drawn they were escorted. We walk into a building where we write a letter to our family to let them know what is happening and tell them goodbyes the only catch is, it has to be under fifteen words. I read my letter...

dear parents,
Reaped for the games, i love you. Bye.

I fold the slip of paper three time then deposit it in a bin beside the exit. Two peacekeepers walk so close to me that they squishing my shoulders together. We walk out on the other side of the building and catch a glimpse of Paxton walking away. "Paxton! Paxton!" I yell running from the peacekeepers he turn around and ran towards the fence that separated us. I stopped at the fence and looked at him, tears threatening my eyes I blink them away. "Good luck" he said grabbing my hand through the fence. "See you soon" I says and I hear the peacekeepers footsteps behind me I lean forward and kiss him on the cheek. " Good bye " I say one final time this time letting the tears fall down my face. The peacekeepers take my arms and drag me away from him. I see him grabbing the fence and then look at oriel. In the door frame I see Oriel being escorted out with the two peacekeepers then the two boys I don't know them very well but that will change very soon. I get thrown into the train by the peacekeepers and scrabble to my feet and helping Oriel up when she tossed in. The peacekeepers here have really no respect for anyone around here.
I few minutes later we all sit in a train car that is filled with comfy velvet sofas. Oriel and I share the couch extending our feet onto each other's laps. Our Capitol representative walks in the room her high heels making a sound when they hit the wooden floor. "Hello, tributes to the 3rd year of the labyrinthine games" she says in a squeaky voice clapping her hands together. "Oh my! What on earth happened to you" she yelped pointing at one of the boy tribute's nose it was gushing with blood. "Must be the fact we got thrown into the train, let's thank the peacekeepers for that" I says sarcastically as I clap slowly. Completely ignoring me she guides the boy to the medical cart.when she returns she glares at me. "Don't get your wig in a tangle" I mutter to Oriel, still looking at the representative, which makes us burst into laughter. Which causes the other boy who Oriel told me his name is Michael to give us that "seriously" look I smiled at him and stopped laughing but I kept a huge grin on my face looking at him. "Okay as you all know you are all a team so that means you can all return home" She said adjusting her bright blue wig. "What is your name?" I ask "because if you don't tell us then imma just gonna call you sparkles" I say shrugging my shoulders "My names is Macey thank you very much" she said sighing "thanks sparkles" I say looking at her. Oriel leaned over and whispered "stichel." "What?" I said out loud "stichels it is my ship name for you and Michel." She smiled and Michel looked embarrassed. "Well then I said I ship you and Paxton. Poriel." Oriel gasped look just because you caught us kissing in 8th grade does not mean we are and item." Then Macey joined the conversation "oh that will help you a lot in your campaign. People will sponsor you to get you back to your boyfriend." "He's not my-" Oriel started but I interrupted saying that is a really good idea. "Well" said Macey "I think it is time you meet your trainer."
