I take my position as Bryson makes a diversion gripping the hilt of my sword tightly I prepare for the cue, "Well well well wha do we have here," inquires the tallest, a muscular girl the others chuckle and they surround Bryson as he rises to his feet. "You know I think this is to bad someone so handsome as you would go to waste in such a pathetic manner" she continues talking brushing her finger across Bryson's jaw. He look too the side to get away from her finger. "Now don't be scared I might spare you if you decide to be more of a pathetic so called fighter" she laughed stepping closer to him. I could see the annoyance in his eyes and spring into action running for the talkative one first, I swing at her but she notices to fast and blocks it with a spear she had in her other hand. "Okay pretty boy wanna fight?" She smirks and slides her spear outwards and starts swinging. I see Bryson punching the two others at the same time since he was left weaponless. I swing the sword in every direction her blocking each possible connection. I see a open spot every move she doesn't pay any attention to her feet or movement of her feet at all. I duck the metal spear and then swing at her ankles making a line of red turn into a large gash, he face scrunches up as she lets out a groan and collapses on the ground with a thump followed by the clash of the spear, the others don't seem to notice while the hand to hand combat against Bryson I run in behind the boy and hit him over the head with a good sized rock on the ground this made the other girl scream giving the opportunity for Bryson to belt her in the jaw knocking her out.
We return to Steph and Oriel to see that all was fine, Steph was reapplying Oriel's bandages when we turned the corner she looked up and smiled "Thank god you two are okay," she said with a sigh. She got up once Bryson offered to take over the bandages. She walks over to me and wraps her arms around my neck then she goes up on her tip toes to give me a kiss on the cheek. I pull her into a hug wishing that this moment would last forever. We pull apart and help Bryson move everything back to the clearing setting up a fire just beside a lone tree. The sky darkens to a indigo dotted with stars. Steph leaned on my shoulder against the tree and we ate some dried beef for dinner. The fire light was mesmerizing, we didn't need it for heat since our location was around twenty-five degrees, but the warm flames swaying in the night was almost calming, well as calming as it could get when your in the maze at night. I offer to stay up if anyone wants to go to sleep but Steph protests saying that I need some rest. Bryson agrees to let Steph take first watch and he lies down on his back using his jacket as a pillow and looking up at the stars, he falls asleep. I'm soon to fall asleep too getting washed into my own thoughts.

DREAM...

I wake up in a large dessert, no cement wall from what I can see. I turn in a circle wondering where I am, I remember my name who I am where I was before this, but I have lost my thoughts on how I got here. I hear I scream behind me and I turn around to see Oriel on the ground blood rushing from her nose, "Micheal," she said in a hoarse voice "you can't let this continue you have to do it" she coughs and I see Steph walking limply a visibly dark gash running down her arm and veins popping out in her neck. "Please, Micheal, pull the trigger" she pleaded then coughed again. I realize that there's a gun in my hand towards Steph. Although this was not Steph she was being influenced by it she was gone, I heard a bang and she fell to the ground...
