I stared after Oriel in complete shock. Micheal came over what happened he said "I heard Oriel shouting and. "He glanced around where is Oriel. Then He saw my face. "Oh Steph." He said I started to cry. He crawled over and wrapped his arms around me. I buried my face in his shoulder and sobbed. He held me until I stopped crying. Then I looked up at him and remembered Oriels words. He took away my best friend. She is right I thought and I pushed Michael away and grabbed my pack. Micheal stood as well as he could and said, "where are you going it is getting dark and the grievers are coming out soon." I turned and looked into his eyes. I still liked him a lot but Oriel was more important. "I have to go after Oriel" I whispered. He pulled me into one last hug and kissed my forehead. Then he pulled away. We will be right here when you get back. He smiled "find your friend". I turned climbed out of the tree well and ran into the darkness.

I found Oriels Footprints and followed them. It was so cold and it was starting to snow. the Capitol's antheme played and a list of dead tributes flashed up 15 more dead. I continued faster. and watched the snow fall. I knew that Oriel had missed Paxton but I thought that she was fine with Sticheal. I Had only been called Stephanie once in my life and this was the one time. I cried as I walked and it blurred my vision. I walked until I relized that the tracks had dissapered. I turned back and saw a scuffle in the snow I ran to it and saw mucus in the snow. A Griever had been here! What scared me more was the sight of blood. A lot of blood. It stained the snow and I stared Oriel was not dead yet but she had to be hurt. Yet the blood was there next to the wall with no Footprints nearby. Then I saw the wall. It was covered in blood especially on the vines. I started to climb.

I reached the top and found Oriel she was lying on the walls flat top. She was slowly breathing and her eyes were closed. But her arm was bent at a funny angle and her face and legs were sliced to pieces. I stumbled over. "Oriel! Oriel!" I shook her and she groaned. her eyelids fluttered open and she stared at me. "You can" She whispered "Oh my arm," She gritted her teeth "it hurts." I did the best I could with her arm and I dressed as many cuts as possible I covered her in a sleeping bag and sat on watch. "We'll leave in the morning I can carry you and then the boys can help us figure stuff out" I say fighting back tears I reach into my pocket and pull out her bracelet. I attach it around her wrist and hold her hand it's cold as ice. I look up to the sky "please she's dying please" I ask the Capitol for something. I look down into the snowy biome I don't see Michael or Bryson I hope they're safe I think to myself they are they are both strong they are fine. Soon I see a blue-silver parachute floating down towards Oriel and I. I quickly open it and find a good sized container full of medication the messages says "for the friendship that never dies" I then realize that it will help the healing with the deep cuts in her legs. I flip off the sleeping bag from her legs and take off the bandages that are already stained with red. I put a good amount on my finger and rub it on each cut when my finger comes in contact with Oriel's leg she groans but it will be all worth it for when she gets better. The cream coloured medicine cream turn a pink when I spread it on the gash. Soon all the cut are covered and I redo the bandages. And flip back her sleeping bag. The sky is a very dark blue and stars shine everywhere I see Oriel sleeping quite well actually the medicine must have helped I squeeze her hand and whisper "I will never let this happen again. I swear".
