If you are ever chosen to be a tribute do not expect a comfertable ride in the tubes the whole point was to confuse us. The only light was the countdown 15:01 I was twisting and falling all around the place I screamed but noone could hear me. 14 minutes and 50 seconds passed I was dizzy but suddenly we stopped 10 seconds. . . I was sweaty and nervous 9 seconds. . . I shivered it was getting cold 5 seconds. . . I wanted to scream 3 seconds. . . Then it went dark the countdown stopped I was certian the tube broke down and we were stuck I counted down the last two seconds 2. . .1. . .0.

Then I appered out of the ground. I squinted and saw that we were in a winter wonderland the ground was snowy and so was the cornocopia. I stared at the others there was a blonde girl from district 13. and a boy who was tall and muscular from district 3 on either side of me. I saw the countdown start 20. . .19. . .18. . .17. . .16. . .15. . .14. . .13. . .12 . . .11. . .10. . .9. . .8. . .7 . . .6. . . 5 . . .4 . . .3 I thought I was going to faint . . . 2 . . .1 I saw Michael, Bryson and Oriel all scattered around the arena there's 88 of us which makes me realize how difficult this will be. I begin to hyperventilate as I run. Gladly I make eyes contact with Michael and we run to the cornucopia I snatch a leather pouch with only god know what's in there a heavy back pack and a sword I run to the trees and see Oriel already in front of me Michael is only a few steps behind us and Bryson not too far behind him bringing up the rear all of my hands are full of stuff and my legs burn I ignore all the screams behind me and concentrate on the trees we will make it I hear I scream from behind me and have a small heart attack when I see Michael running back towards Bryson he's fallen in the snow. I continue to run almost tripping myself, the snow isn't too deep but it reaches up to my ankles I breath in and the air is cold I hear Michael and Bryson running behind me and I relax I tiny bit. I see the tree line getting closer and to my mistake look back the cornucopia is a blur of blood stained snow and silver from all the loot. I finally reach the tree line where I see Oriel catching her breath sorting out her stuff then I stop beside her dropping all my stuff I sling the back pack over my shoulder and sheath the sword I attach the leather pouch to my belt and close my eyes, try to relax I tell myself then I feel someone firmly grip my shoulder and my eyes snap open I see Michael his cheeks are red from the cold and he breathes heavily.
"What did you get?" I ask looking him in the eye his eyes are big and easy to get lost in so I snap myself back to reality.
"A back pack that I haven't checked yet a set of knives and a bag full of food,"  he says showing me each item "You?" He ask nodding his head towards me"
"Oh um a sword, a back pack and a weird leather pouch that I haven't checked and same with the pack" I say leaning against a tree "We should get moving try to find a set of doors to get out of this biome get away from some of theses people" I state raising my voice I bit so Oriel and Bryson can hear me
"Sounds good lets go this way but stay in the tree to try and stay hidden" Says Oriel pointing to the direction she wishes to travel Bryson adjusts his supplies and we start our trek. Michael and I walk side by side, Bryson a few feet ahead and Oriel in the front. Michael grabs my hand and squeezes it. It reminded my when we were in the Capitol. The sky get dark and the Capitol anthem plays I find an opening in the trees and we gather around to see the sky and which tributes have died I don't pay attention to who or where they are from just how many. Forty tributes died today in the cornucopia blood bath leaving forty-eight of us left it feels like a lot, then I realize forty families are sitting in their living room crying because of their loss. The thought makes me sad so I shake it from my head we continue our trek then someone finally speaks

"Can we continue this tomorrow it's late and I don't run into one of those griever things at this time." says to my surprise, Michael and stops

"Yeah we're all tired" said Bryson

"Okay we'll continue in the morning" Says Oriel getting a tarp out of her back pack she lays in down on the snow and we all sit down on it looking at the dark sky above "someone's gonna have to take watch for the first few hours" she says propping herself up on an elbow.

"I will" I volunteer myself as I sit on my knees. "I'll wake you up in about four hours okay Oriel?" She nod and lies down I decide to search my back pack see if there's anything in there to help. I find a sleeping bag, some rope, a empty water bottle with a built-in filter and a first-aid kit. I unzip the sleeping bag to make a large blanket and I lay it over Michael and I then I see Oriel and Bryson. I pick up Bryson's pack and find his sleeping bag unzip it and lay it over them. The air is cold and I occasionally shiver but building a fire is basically a big sign that tells the other tributes we're over her come get us! I look to Michael and he's already asleep so is Oriel and Bryson. Nothing. There's nothing happening and the only sound is the sound of my companions sleeping. I sit in the cold four what feels like forever and was probably three hours. Then I hear Oriel.

"Steph get some sleep I can watch from now then I'll wake Bryson okay?" She says with a concerned look on her face. I nod and lie down we are all laying down close for warmth but I feel Michael put his around my waist. I feel comfortable and Michael makes me feel safe soon I fall asleep.
