"Beep! Beep! Beep!"
I groaned, as my fist met the snooze bottom. Feeling tired, I settled down into my blankets, and tried to drift to sleep, but, something poked my cheek. One eye slowly cracked open, to see Kayla. Her blonde hair was messy; she was wearing a night gown that said 'little princess' on it. With a loud giggle, she took off running.
I looked at the clock to see it said '6:52'.
"Abby!" I screamed as load as I could.
"What?" I heard her walk down the hall. She walked in, her black hair fell down onto her shoulders, her face was round, skin white, and a few freckles a cross her nose.
"Help Kay- what the hell, what on earth are you wearing?" I ask staring at her in shock. She had a bright blue mini tube top on, and really short denim shorts.
"Do you like it?" she asked, twirling in a circle.
"No! Now go put real clothes on, then help Kayla get ready."
"Fine," she huffed, and stomped to her room.
Sighing, I through myself out of bed, and ran to the stairs, well more like slid on my socks. I ran to the kitchen; quickly pull out, two bowls, a box of cereal, milk, ham, and bread. I put the bowls on the island, filled them with cheerio's, then pulled two spoons out of the drawer, shoving them into the drawer I made four ham sandwiches, rapped them up, and put them into brown paper bags.
"Look at me!"
I turned to see Kayla come running down the hall, in a white dress that had little roses all over it, she giggled has she showed off her dress.
"Oh, Kayla, look at you," I said, helping her onto the barstool.
She smiled widely at me as I poured milk into the bowl in front of her.
"Abby! Hurry and eat," I called.
I grabbed a hair brush that was pink and orange, and walked back over to Kayla. "What do you want today?" I asked, brushing though her hair.
"Hmm," she said, like this was the biggest decision in the world. "A braid," she said proud of her answer.
"Alright," I combed through her hair, and quickly braided it.
Abby finally came down, and started eating, this time actual wearing clothes. She had on a pink tank top with a yellow flower on the front of it.
I made sure they both were alright, before I walked to the end of the steps, "Caleb, Jace!" I yelled up the steps, "Get down here." I know I seem harsh with them, but with Tracy at work, and Mat didn't help take care of them in the mornings, I hand to get stern.
"Honk! Honk!"
"That's the bus," I called to everyone.
Kayla came skipping down the hall to me, with Abby right behide her. I gave Kayla a hug, and kissed the top of her head. "Have a good day at school you two, I said, as I handed them each a sacked lunch, with a sandwich, apple and a pudding cup. "Jace, Caleb, get down here." Jace came running down, he had black skinny jeans, and a blue t-shit, his hair was combed, but didn't like that nice.
"Thanks Emma," he said as I handed him is lunch. He started to walk off, but a grabbed his arm before he could get far.
"Hey, you okay?"
"Yeah," he said, forcing a smile, but I could see the pain in his eyes that he tried so hard to hide.
"It'll be okay," I said, pulling him into a hug.
"Thanks Emma," he sighed, pulling away, and head out to the bus.
"Caleb!" I practically screamed up the steps.
